You are talking about the Decleor Product correct? I can't use any of theirs near my eyes because the scent drives my crazy eyes nuts!

Yes, the link points to a face/neck moisturizer, not an eye product. Not sure, some folks use facial for delicate eye area, which is a Big No-No for me. For eyes, I'd say less is more |

Agree zverenok,
When I checked the site that is the only product by the name! I am not a big fan like many are, I find the products way over priced for what you get. Just my opinion.

Sorry I didn't mean to confuse, someone recommended it and I just checked to see what it was and the ingredients only to find a regular moisturizer not an eye cream!

zverenok - I'd suggest you try to get samples of the Garden Botanika eye cream before you buy because when peptides first came out, I tried two brands of eye creams (and other brands of general facial moisturizers) with peptides and found them drying. Yeah, strange, but I have fair combo skin and the dry areas became even drier. A sample might tell you if this would happen on your skin because I noticed the difference after only 1 or 2 applications. I was not able to pinpoint exactly which peptide caused this because all of the products had more than one. Formulations matter, of course, and it could very well be that the GBotanika won't cause this reaction for you depending on how much/how many peptides are in it. |

Jax,
I know they are in many department stores here in the states so they should have samples there. I found this very moisturizing without being heavy. Heavy creams on my eyes don't agree with my obnoxious eyes either, it just happened to be one I actually had very good luck with. Like anything nothing is one size fits all!

You are right ladies, maybe with my next EDS order, I will ask them for eye moisturizer samples from different brands... Haven't seen GBotanica around here in Canada though... |

OIL blends FOR AROUND THE EYES based on age
(sorry to the author - cant remeber where I found this)
18 TO 25 YEARS
2 teaspoons Hazelnut Oil
2 drops Borage Seed Oil
1 drop Chamomile German
1 drop Carrot Oil
25 TO 40 YEARS
2 teaspoons Hazelnut Oil
2 drops Borage Seed
3 drops Evening Primrose
2 drops Lavender
1 drop Lemon
1 capsule Vitamin E
2 drops Carrot
40 TO 45 YEARS
2 teaspoons Hazelnut Oil
6 drops Evening Primrose
2 drops Borage Seed
2 drops Palmarosa
2 drops Lavender
1 capsule Vitamin E
3 drops Carrot Oil
MATURE YEARS
2 teaspoons Hazulnut Oil
5 drops Jojoba Oil
2 capsules Vitamin E
1 drop Lavender
1 drop Lemon
1 drop Bois de rose
3 drops Carrot Oil
* 1 capsule Vitamin E = 250 IUs
Mix the ingredients together well and use the lightest amount around the eye area. Weight around th eye area causes it to sag - and that applies to all oils and creams. Leave the oil for a few minutes and then gently wipe off the excess. Apply the oil every night.

or if those bother your contacts: (off make-up alley)
Touch of Mink - Mink Oil • Treatments (Eye)
This is the only oil that I know of that you can rub straight into your eyes or on your lips. Even contact lens wearers it doesn't leave a film. Mink oil is the closest oil that naturally resembles the oils in our body. It mimics our own natural sebum (oil glands). |

Holy moly Craftery,
I think this was my post of recipe, from one of the aromatherapy books I have. Posted a long time ago. How funny to have someone throw that back at me :)
Well, yes, I like that, but I was looking for something quick to apply in the morning before work....
But you are right, that natural stuff is awesome!!! |

Yep yep. Natural oils are amazing, and if you stick long enough with them you will notice a difference. Perhaps I need to experiment with my own recipe to see which one is most sinkable. I don't want to start adding anything like starches, for eye area, it's a no no imo |

I am 30, very fair skin, no problems, just need to moisturize the eye area...
I have been using Dr. Hauschka regular (the tube one) eye moisturizer, but recently have not been too happy with it...
Can anyone suggest something very good, preferably natural if not organic. |

I have super-dry skin around my eyes and am always looking for good eye creams to keep the area soft and hydrated. I also wear contacts and have allergies, so the creams have to be gentle too. I like Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. It does nothing for wrinkles or darkness or bags, but it's very moisturizing. Avene Soothing Eye Cream is similarly moisturizing, though it's not "organic". 100 Percent Pure's Caffeine Bean Eye Cream is great for tightening skin and is adequately moisturizing for me (though not in the dead of winter). Burt's Bee's Repair Serum with Attar of Rose is a moisturizing oil blend that is very good value. I used to layer Burt's Bees Royal Jelly Eye Cream (which is more of a thick balm and similar to Dr. Hauschka's Eye Contour Day Cream) on top for added protection and moisture. Most people would find the combination too greasy but if you have literally flaky skin around your eyes, it's a great combination. I'm curious about Devita's eye creams, since iherb.com is not selling the line. The ingredients look very good and the prices seem reasonable. |
