I'm guessing this is written verbatim from a company news release. EGF is nothing new and you can buy it fromwww.skinactives.com and stick it in your moisturizer. Not saying this is not a good product but it's nothing new. For product details:

I think you are already on a miracle product with the Retin A. Topical C is good too. Maybe you just need to switch antioxidants and use something other than the C for a while? Good to get a variety of antioxidants on the skin and not limit it just to 1. Are you wearing a good sunscreen daily?

The other thing you might consider is some type of exfoliating weekly, either manual or chemical. It may help!

Hi Rileygirl

Have got hyperpigmentation problems so always use sunscreen Smile

Have been using retin-a for a couple of years now and doesn't seem to have made any difference though how wrinkly i'd be if i didn't use it who knows Laughing

Will look into using something other than the vit c.

Thanks for reply x

I'm pretty sure EGF is the same ingredient in Dr Obagi's Ossential Growth Factor Serum (which gets a lot of positive feedback) so it must be promising. The price tag is a bit high though. Retin A is probably just as effective, if not better.

I read about bioeffect EGF serum in the daily mail, 125 pounds for 15 mls seems a ridiculous amount of money though. I googled EGF and found a website selling EGF serum for 17 pounds for 33mls so I have ordered a bottle. according to them you EGF suppliers recommend a maximum amount of EGF per ml and they use the max, so hopefully it's the same as bioeffect since they would also have to go with the recommended maximum too.

I have been using the Bioeffect EGF Serum and it has totally transformed my skin - evening out my skin tone and definitely reducing the depth of my wrinkles. It is a little on the pricy side but I see it as a very worthwhile investment. I read about the product in more detail on their US website and then did quite a bit of research before I tried it and think that it is the best of its kind out there (high concentration, not tested on animals etc).

Signed up to post this. I thought I'd add my experience having used nearly two bottles of BioEffect. While BareFacedTruth did not have positive things to say about BioEffect or EGF in general - I still thought I'd risk it. In two words: Insanely Good.

It really does work (at least visually for me), and this comes from someone who's tried a fair few products across the years (Osmosis Replenish, Medik8 Firewall, YBF plus *many* more). I've used Flex Effect facial exercise for a year and although this has added signifcant improvements to facial structure - nothing, for me, has come close to the 'youthful' look I get from BioEffect EGF.

Briefly, my routine: I used it twice daily across the whole face including eye area. For the first 3 weeks. I didn't use anything else during this period. After 3 weeks, I'd add in a moisturiser after waiting about 30-60mins for the BioEffect to absorb in. I felt BioEffect alone - while providing great results - did leave the skin a bit dull after the third week.

In the interests of enhancing the results still further, I also added in a bi-weekly 20min blast (at about the 5th week onwards) of Baby Quazar - subjectively; I'd say this has also helped boost the EGF effects.

I'd say that 8 weeks in (and 2/3 through my second bottle) it's significantly reduced forehead wrinkles and had a good improving effect on NL lines (they are not gone yet though). Skin texture and appearance is awesome. Overall, asking some random strangers the old 'how old do I look?' question has generally illicted responses 5 years younger than 8 weeks ago. FYI: I'm 34 - 33/32 then, 27/28 now)

I've only used BioEffect EGF. Can't comment on other EGF products but... I suspect you get what you pay for. Got first bottle from BioEffect and subsequent ones from eBay. They were selling under the SiF brand.

Barefacedtruth is not too enthusiastic about this product, but they didn't say it doesn't work. Their issue is with the longer term consequences of applying a single isolated growth factor (including cancer risk, hair problems). In fact they do mention a plumping effect in skin that gives quick fix results, but point out how it can be harmful with continued use. The plumping can even strangle hair follicles. I'm also opposed to transgenic farming as it is environmentally dangerous, according to a majority of scientists.
