Hello everyone.

I feel i must share with you a new diet, which converted my 38 pants size husband to 32 size in 4 months. I will publish some pictures as soon as i can.
BUT 65 lb DOWN in 4 months !!!!!

It all started when we saw our friend shrunk almost twice in size within several months. Not only that. His blood sugar totally normalized !!
Before the diet he had to take 6 pills a day to keep his blood sugar stable.

He told us a story about a doctor from Latvia who did miracle with one of his relatives and many over people.
Here is the link for more information:
http://sites.google.com/site/ybtoooools/home/diet

One of his famous patients even wrote a book about his own adventure. It called "Liepajan Diet" by Aleksey Bogomolov.
I already ordered it from online store, but it is in Russian ONLY Sad
His pictures are first on my site i created in Dr. Hazan's honor: http://sites.google.com/site/ybtoooools/home/diet/happy-customers-page

Please excuse the imperfections. This is my first site ever.

I also felt i simple can't keep this secret when it can cure so many people desperately trying to lose weight and failing, because it is too hard to keep.
Well, this one is not hard at all. You can build it around your existing life style and you know from the beginning - it is temporary.

The problem of most popular diets - you have to change your habits permanently.
With Liepajan Diet you have to make a commitment for 2-6 months (depending on how many pounds you want to lose).
If you follow the instructions precisely you should lose approximately 1/3 of your desired goal in first month.
I personally saw my husband losing 13 lb on his first week of diet! And he was never hungry or uncomfortable.

Forgot to mention. My husband's physician said few weeks ago he can stop taking Crestor (his cholesterol is completely normalized).
Smile

Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

In America we have a saying: If it sounds too good to be true, it's too good to be true.

We also have another saying: There's a sucker born every minute.

Of course this 'miracle diet' costs money. Rolling Eyes

Hello SoftSkin,

If you saw the link, there is a full description of 2 months of the diet. Some people can lose 40-50lb just following this description within 2-3 months.

There is no need to be sarcastic. Yes, if you want special attention from the doctor, you want personal contact or individualy developed diet for your unique conditions - of course it will cost money. But if you just follow the standard program it is absolutely FREE.

Thanks Toby. Thrilled is not a proper word for it. All our family and friends are still in shock.

Every place he goes people can't believe their eyes.

It does have a downside though: we had to replace ALL his cloths Smile) His T-shirts went from XL to M. Pants from 38 to 32.

I didn't try it on myself, because i never needed it. Some how i always manage to be at the middle of my perfect BMI weight.
But i was the one who made for him every day food preparation, so i know everything about it now.

By the way, in few weeks i'll receive more information for after diet period. I'll publish it as soon as i get it.

Nothing new or magical about the diet. You are eating 1200-1300 calories a day. You could eat 1200-1300 calories of ice cream a day and still lose weight. The challenge comes from maintenance. Get back to us a year from now and let us know if he's kept the weight off. That is where most dieters fail. They go back to their old eating habits.

And the bit about NO exercise? That will appeal to a lot of fat, unfit people for sure! Hmmm, ever watch The Biggest Loser? Exercise is key for maintaining weight loss.

Yum...Yum!
1,300 calories of gelato Smile
That should be pretty easy to do...and why I kind of stopped keeping gelato at home (only have sorbet..but still there is sugar in that).

Maybe if you actually make healthy food that...TASTES GOOD you will not be too overweight.
Also count your calories too.

If you are very overweight,I think you can see a dietician or nutritionist through your doctor (hopefully).
If not maybe go see a medical professional that can write up a plan for you...if that is affordable.

I actually do not have much weight to lose (I', 5"5 and 135lbs...but "big boned" compared to a lot of my family...aunt/mother have super skinny wrists and ankles and I do not at all).
lol,well...actually I should lose around 7lbs-I am going to try and eat at home until the weekend...try to stay away from the bakery too Wink

Some easy tips to get less calories are if you go to starbucks- do not get the blended drinks,or at least only get the small size once every week or two if you really want.
just get the plain iced coffee and add a bit of vanilla sugar and cinnamon that they keep on the side.
healthier and much cheaper too.

I just have coffee at home and instead of sugar I buy flavored coffee- you can't really tell that it is not sweet as the chocolate, hazelnut, whatever flavor is there a lot.

if you get fast food, just get the sandwich and water...don't get fries very often.

if you do not have time for breakfast, keep some homemade muffins in the freezer and take those with you, or eggs or whatever it is you like to eat that is healthy.
if you do not bake...you can always buy some good bakingmixes, but read the ingredients and use apple sauce instead of oil in the mix- only add 1 spoon of oil for the whole mix.

Maybe find an activity you like to do?
Usually I do a lot of inline skating and used to skate 100+km a week (was hoping to compete).
...but it is way too hot this year and my skating is too slow this year Sad

But I am taking some dance classes- around 4 or 5 hours a week!
a lot of places offer drop in classes for beginner and I am doing that.
Hip hop dance is fun, ballet, contemporary dance, jazz and....STEPDANCE!

Stepdancing should be ok for most people, the lady who I got the lessons from she even says until you know if you like it to just use shoes with a smooth bottom, and then buy used shoes if you can...
I am just using Puma running shoes (but will get shoes next week).

Dancewear Solutions has very cheap shoes, compared to the local store- $20 instead of $60 here!

Or maybe just start out walking around the block after every meal.

Hello SoftSkin,

I will definitely update you in a year from now, but you don't have to wait so long.
The pictures on the web site are already 3-4 years old. The guy already wrote and published a book after his diet. That had to take some time Smile

Regarding exercising, you really have to stop for few months of diet only and resume as soon as you are done. Nobody objects that healthy body should be maintained with balanced nutrition and exercises. You don't have to switch to this plan till the end of your life. That would be wrong. You should look at it more as a medication that you have to take for some time until you are healthy again.

Hi Ottawa Shopper,

I see you and i are very alike. I am 5' 3" and i moved from 135 to 130 lbs just by cutting on sugar and bread.
I replaced lunch sandwiches to salads with chicken or fish. No pasta Sad(((
I take unsweetened coffee and tea (herbal works just great).

I just noticed that the moment i start eating bread again my belly fat start growing back very fast.

But I am still guilty of having an ice cream once in a while. Just can't imagine my life without it.

Cheers Smile

Absolutely, if you don't follow the instructions. You have to massage your body every day, preferably with wooden massager.
Once or twice a week you are advised to take a hot bath with salts and pine extract.

Appears to be a typical weight watchers type, calorie counting diet.

I would love to know the scientific basis for this statement:

(Note- do not add the tablespoon of canned fish into your vegetable salad. Eat it separately, during the same meal.)

He-he:)) I know. My daughter was insisting on this phrase. She said someone can actually think it should be mixed.

And, by the way, it is not only calorie count. It is feeding with the right amount of specific food at exactly the same time every day. That's the most important part of this diet.

I am sure someone with the right background can re-calculate this diet into something more suitable to American/European public. Don't forget, this one comes from Russia with their specifics and eating preferences.

Hello,

I finally found some old pictures of my husband and made a few new pictures.
www.photobucket.com/yb-eds

The 2010 picture was made at the time he was exercising 3 times a week. That was his 240 lbs record.

Today he is 183 lbs and he plans to lose another 10 lbs till September 10.

Cheers

Hi Everyone,

Just want to update those who's interested. The site has complete information now. All 3 months of diet plus consolidation period plus some corrections.

Of course, i will be adding more information, but whatever is there right now is enough to start and successfully finish your diet.

Don't forget the url is different than in the first post. This is the correct one:
http://liepajandiet.weebly.com

Congrats to your husband for losing his weight!! He looked great!
No matter what diet works for you, making the mental decision to lose it is the first step.
There are so many diets out there for differant body types, eating habits, lifetstyles. There is something for everyone. That's why we should be the last to naysay it if it is working for him.
Positive thinking is a huge part of the game. If you think it can't work, most likely it won't. The second part of keeping off the weight though, is identifying the triggers that caused him to gain the weight to begin with. Jobs, stress, change of lifestyle, eating habits, etc. Change the negative and keep the positive!
Best of luck to him in keeping it off and thanks to you for sharing.

Hi AnnieR,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I absolutely agree with you - the most important part IS the decision to lose weight.
There are a lot of great methods to do it and it is a matter of personal taste which one to chose.

The recipes from this particular diet may be not for everyone, but the method itself is definitely working. I am sure it can be customized to fit everyone's taste. The main message is - to eat limited amount of times limited amount of food.

Like doctor say "There is no pill from greed. If you want to lose weight - you must eat less".

You are very welcome!
When my DH wanted to lose weight and was working with his doc to check all vitals, blood etc. it was a community effort.
But what I remember the doc telling him was, "In losing weight, half of it is mental and the other half physical".
His advice was basic, smaller portions, more proteins and little meals throughout the day and above all, excercise. Even walking just a bit every day makes a big differance. He liked the basics of the South Beach diet. Cutting out sugar, processed foods, limiting alcohol calories and no sodas! Hubby's biggest issue though was not eating breakfast and skipping meals, big big no no's! He still struggles with that in his schedule.
We are a work in progress but I cheer him on. Positive affirmations!
I will have to show him your hubby's pics!

Show him the pictures from the web site. They are much more impressive.

The girl who moved from 286 lb. to 132 lb. - that was amazing! Probably took her more than a year. But it was totally worth the effort.

For me that does not really make a difference what I eat.
It is more how many calories I have.
But it is also hard for me to see when I lose weight because I can retain water very easily one day, then be super dehydrated the next.

Yes eating less is definitely the ticket along with exercise but it's not that simple for most people. Insulin resistance is common for middle aged people who get increasing fatigue from what/how they eat and a lack of the right kind of exercise.
