I have medium coarse curly hair. I think straightening it/flat ironing it for the past few years has caused alot of damage. I have been really laying off it for the past few months.
I don't use any other heat on my hair.
My hair looks great(curly) the first day I wash it, but every subsequent day it gets progressively frizzy, which is why I often like to iron it so I don't look so "unprofessional"/messy.
I like my curly hair so would prefer not to do Brazilian blowout-also want to avoid the chemicals/
I only wash it 2x/week and use a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner.
Also, my hair is graying (20%), but unfortunately it's been graying since my 20s.
Now that I'm in my 30s I notice slight thinning at the top. I'd prefer not to do ROgaine bc I've read the hormones are bad.
Is there anything to help (products, supplements, treatments) with any/all of the above? |

I too have coarse curly hair...most curly hair lacks moisture and I like to use morroccan oil or argan oil to tame the frizzies...you can use it on wet or dry hair and a little goes a long way especially if you don't have really thick hair.
I also use Deva Curl No Poo Shampoo with a Deva conditioner and a Sally's leave in conditioner.
If my hair doesn't seem too sweaty, I wash it with conditioner only. Lots of people use Suave conditioner for this.
Deva Curl also has a spray that you use to freshen day old hair. I ordered some but haven't received the order yet so I can't recommend it but my daughter likes it. HTH. |

You should look into Skin Biology's Folligen lotion or cream for your hair. It has copper peptides in it to help make the hair follicle healthier and that will, in turn, make it appear thicker. It also adds shine and some have said they've seen their grey hairs fade. It would be a very good product for hair damaged from styling tools and colorants.
