Hi
Finally purchased and received Bellaire ultrasound 2mhz. I plan to use aloe vera gel to save money. I can't and don't spent a lot on facial creams, serums, but I do use them. I just am careful about cost. So I am a little confused.
Question: If you are supposed to use ultrasonic gel with the device, that means the only thing you are pushing into your skin is that. So is the point to put on serums and skin care products (any suggestions?) before the gel? Let the products sit on skin for a while, then apply the conductive agent/gel?? I did not yet read the instructions, so I apologize.
Can anyone tell me what their routine is?
I have a decent serum from an all natural source/store. Would I put that on, let it dry, then put gel over it to begin my treatment with ultrasound? SO much to learn, so little patience, lol, I mean time. I REALLY hope the gadget does something....I don't see a lot of positive posts. MAYBE I will be the queen of ultrasound and rave about it soon...lol. ALSO thanks to eveyone who has so kindly answered me on these string of questions. Appreciate it very much. |

So far I like my 3Mhz U/S device too!
Im using a formula with peptides (copper and tetrapeptide 17), HA, retinol, scooter gum, vit E and some amino acids. Im just using that (wet) on my skin while U/S'ing and it seems to be doing something! Too soon to tell but my skin looks firmer and plumper after using it into the next day. I use this 3x week. |

Fawnie,
I am curious to see if you've thought about stopping for awhile to see if your skin stays firmer and plumper? The reason I ask is that sometimes we've heard that the improvement is due to inflammation which causes tissues to swell at the location?
Just a thought, curious to hear yours on the topic.

Thats a valid point BFG. That happened when I used AntiAgingLightStim and previously BabyQ LEDs. Looked great initially right after treatments but when I stopped - no real changes had occurred imho. |

Hey Fawnie
Well I just used it once and all I had on hand was Aloe V Gel. Pure. It's funny cause I hate things on my face, creams etc. I am better with serums and peptides. I used Aloe V and then wiped it off, put on a store bougth serum, and went back over my face for a minute with it. I am sure i did not use it right, but at least I did not melt my face or end up in the emergency room so I must be ok...lol

Serums are supposed to penetrate the skin better with the use of ultrasound. So the method is to apply the serum first, then a conductive gel to allow the current to get through the surface of the skin.
It is ok to use Aloe Vera Gel instead of a specialised conductive gel but it does tend to dry out fairly quickly. Therefore I intermittently spray the face with water as I go. With a conductive gel you have to wash it off after the treatment. With Aloe Vera it's not necessary to do that - plus it's good for the skin. |

Hey there,
have read so many of your posts over the past two years, thanks for your great participation and help. VERY HELPFUL! Appreciate the tip re: gel etc. I did notice, besides the sticky glue feel on my face, the gel does dry really quickly...so I was just thinking adding water or spraying water on face might help. Perfect timing for your post. I was just flashbacking to my use, FIRST TIME, . And really...it was dull and sticky but I feel like I will respond well. Just a hunch, not sure why. I wonder if it works if you dip it in chocolate and smear it on your face, or champagne, lol. THAT would make it more fun than feeling like I got a sticky popsickle running down face, lol

Good idea to spritz with water as you go! Even in ER sometimes water is used as a conductive product when the gel cant be found. |

Totally agree with you.. Also agree that the aloe is drying.. It makes a good addition to an ultrasound base, but on it's own, not so great.
I just worked out a DIY recipe for some folks. Haven't tried it myself yet, but I'm *almost* ready to hit the submit button for an ultrasound spatula device, so I'll be making it shortly. I based this recipe on the "Palacia Ultrasound Gel" which is $78. for 10oz (Freak that!) I have a .50mm dermaroller in my cart too...
DIY Ultrasound Gel:
Distilled Water
Glycerin 4 or 5% (depends how sticky, moisturizing you want it
Propylene Glycol 2%
Hyaluronic Acid 1% (available powder or liquid)
Sodium Carbomer 0.2% Great geller! (already neutralized so you don't need to use anything hazardous like NaOH. And the necessary sodium is in there!) It's a powder so use the same precautions as with any other, work quickly and don't expose your nasal passages to it.
Germall Plus Powder 0.2% (preservative)
Both powders can be dispersed either in the water (1st), or into water AFTER the water soluble actives have been added. Eazzy Peazzy!
If you make yourselves a nice water based serum with some nice actives like "fawnie" shared above, you'll be good to go! Allow your 'active serum' to penetrate 10 minutes or so, then just apply the US gel and have at it. |

Nice Kassy, I got a 16 oz. bottle that is made by Palacia when I bought the HF! I am using that up for now, but will need the recipe once it is gone!
Going to jump in on rolling too, we can compare notes or just gripe about the ouchie factor!

Hi, I bought the TIA Ultra Renew which is in the 3mz range. As a bonus, it also comes with LED which is great even though I have a red and a yellow LED from the LEDman. I am a huge copper peptide fan so I use the serum and sometimes follow it with some of my DIY anti aging cream but not always.
I then mix a little green tea extract with water and I use that on my face to keep it wet so my Ultra Renew just glides along my skin. I keep applying more solution with a cottonball so it stays moist. I use my ultrasound on my entire face for about 10-15 min. I even do my browbone and have seen a huge improvement there..no more sagging eyelids for this 51 yr old!
I use the green tea solution because I usually follow this up with my LED lights right after and I read a few studies where green tea with LED reduces wrinkles much faster than LED alone.
I do all of this in front of the TV about 3 times per week and I have to say, for 51, I have very nice skin. It's firm and taught and I have very few lines. I have also been using tretinoin cream (retin-a) for a few years and I'm sure that has helped too. Hope this helped! |

I use Reviva Labs DMAE Firming fluid. So far so good. Nothing major to report, skin looks good one day after the treatment, then comes back to normal, pores looks smaller. |

I am using MyFawnies peptide US serum I put it on all over my skin and use a rose hydrosol when it feels a bit dry. This works really well and I don't have to wash off after. |

I mix 1tsp of glycerin to 5tsp of strong green tea then I put it on a spritzer and I spritz as I go. I rinse my face after with just water since the glycerin is sticky but I'm not worried that the beneficial effects of the green tea would get washed-out since the ultrasound has already helped penetrate the anti-oxidants that's present on the green tea, oh and the caffeine too. I have niacinamide lying around the house so I mixed a gram or 1/4teaspoon of and I think it works fine. I put mine on the fridge. |
