I found it softened my lip lines but didn't eradicate them although a couple of my lines were deeper, not slight. I'm not sure about it tightening upper lip area but it has improved the appearance of whole mouth area.
I continue to use LTK system...not religiously, I do wear lipstick when I go out and only use a few times a day now...because I see it as anti-aging for lips and mouth area and nothing else feels as good on my lips. HTH

I'm thinking of giving up on L2K. I have been on it for a looooong time, doing everything by the book, and my lips are A LOT worse than when I started. I could cry! I really believe Kandis' research, and she is wonderful, but it's just not working for me. Can anyone recommend anything else for the lips and lines above the lips that has worked for them, as an alternative to this? I really want to avoid waxes, etc..

I am an ex smoker & haven't smoked for about 3 years & I'm almost 40, I have had my lips & botox done about four times, I ran into the Lips2kiss website & of course it sounds to good to be true, but after reading the reviews all you fabulous people have posted I'm really wanting to try it and cancel my botox appt I have scheduled not to mention it cost $350.00. what i'm confused about is which one to purchase will I get vertical line result from the $79.00 package or do I have to get the new client package that cost $199.00 - Looking for advice from a current honest user of Lips2Kiss -

Has anybody used only the liquid gold? I'm mainly interested in getting some plumping. I don't want to purchase the whole system and want to know if the liquid gold will yield results on its own.

I have used the liquid gold alone and it does help plump the lips. However, to get the most benefit, one would need to use the entire system. I started using the system to get rid of the lines above my lips. I used the system for two years and achieved good plumping and definitely diminished lines, but since the lines didn't completely eradicate, I stopped using it. I recently started using the colored glosses again because the product feels so much better than regular lipgloss. These glosses contain the ingredients of the liquid gold, lip creme and night glaze (just in lower concentrations) and noticed my lips do look more plump, just not as plump as when using the system. I used it for months and months. As directed. Yes my lips peeled. But that was it. Timely and expensive. No improvement. At all. My wallet was thinner; my lips: the same.

Thanks Aprile! When you used the liquid gold alone, how often did you use it? I just got mine and it doesn't come with instructions so I'm not sure how often to apply to get the benefits.

Hi,

I'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right place, but i have a question about this system:

I have beautiful bow-shaped plump lips that are natural but when I was younger and had a smaller face, my lips looked HUGE and therefore, I got teased about them (Bongo lips, n-word lips, stretch lips, d-word lips, you name it) needless to say, I grew up EXTREMELY self conscious about my lips and always tried to minimize their bigness by pursing them, or kind of rolling them together like how you do after applying lip color (I ALWAYS did this in photos, there are pics of me at 10, 11 yrs old with my lips pursed or pinched together, rolled in, etc) i basically grew up HATING my lips and then when I was around 18-19 yrs old, i started getting compliments on them constantly, usually by men, and it was difficult to take them serious, since all i ever got were insults on them, i immediately thought it was a joke, that they were just trying to clown me and if i said thank you they would turn around and laugh and say NOT! lol, so the first time a guy ever complimenting me on my lips i told him to *-off! haha He probably thought i was stuck up or something, but i truly didn't believe him and thought it was a joke. Despite the fact that the compliments just kept rolling in, it was difficult to accept that my lips were actually favored, let alone desireable! I mean, how do you un-do YEARS of teasing and insults, kids are ruthless and to be honest, i still, to this day, hate the ones who hurled insults at me and ridiculed me for something i could not help and could not do a thing about (by hate, i mean figuratively speaking, i don't actually "hate" anyone) But one thing that really pesses me off, is one of my best friends, who had very thin lips, her brother used to tease me and call me one of the unchoice names and she would laugh right along with him and his friends, so i was under the impression that she thought big lips were unattractive, yet, today, she gets lip fillers injected into her lips and now her lips are BIGGER than mine! I didn't think that was possible because her lips were almost non existent! Yes, I'm really having a hard time forgiving those that made fun of me, not because of the emotional damage, that i can get over, we were kids... it's the physical damage i've done to my lips in an attempt to disguise or minimize their large appearance... I was so self conscious about my lips that I would cover my mouth when I spoke as to not draw attention to my mouth... one time, while i was talking, i brought my hand away from my mouth for a second, leaving my lips exposed, and when i realised this, i quickly brought my hand back in front of them, but not before this best friend of mine shouted "Wait! let me see those things again!" (OMG! I was mortified!) anyway, in an attempt to minimize their appearance or hide them, i was constantly biting on my lower lip, i have beautiful straight white teeth, and thought if my teeth were sunk into my bottom lip all the time, it would be my teeth that show and distract the attention from my lips (my bottom lip is fuller than my top and since theres nothing i could do to obscure the top lip too, except put my hand over my mouth which became increasingly hard to do as an adult with having to go to work and all) So basically, I have spend the last 15 yrs or so biting on my lower lip, pretty much embedding them into my lower lip and now, i have permanent teeth marks just above my lower lip line and i still can't stop doing it, it has become a habit to me that i don't even realize i'm doing! i also find comfort in doing it, and when i realize i'm doing it, and suddenly stop, it's uncomfortable and i feel compelled to do it again! i can't imagine what my lips will look like in another 10 yrs if this continues. From a distance, you can't see the line that's embedded into my lips as long as i have on lip color and gloss. If I don't have any on... you can vaguely see it from a distance, but if you get up close and look, you'll notice it's not just a line going across my bottom lip, but upper teeth marks. Luckily, I'm still young enough to where it doesn't look THAT bad, but even if i stopped the lip biting tomorrow and left my lips alone as is, i am sure in 10 years from now, these teeth marks will still be there and they will look much worse. I am inclined to believe they are permanent, because of how long I have been doing it. I sometimes wonder if I do it in my sleep too, because when i wake up in the morning, the marks sometimes look fresh. I was trying to think of something i could apply to my lips that would make it unpleasant (taste wise) if i started biting on them, but i can't think of anything, such as tabasco hot sauce, that wouldn't burn my lips in the process or cause discomfort. I am desperate, and want to save my lips from further damage and although I said I am inclined to believe the wrinkle/line/teeth marks are permanent, part of me feels like if I could stop the biting today, there may be something out there such as Lips2Kiss that may be able to reverse the damage. However, if I'm not able to get the habit under control, investing in this system would be rather moot. I'm just not sure how to proceed. I am over the psychological damage done by the teasing, and i still get tons of compliments on my lips as long as they are dressed with lip color and gloss, but with the biting, i am constantly having to reapply it. I guess the habit, is similar to nail biting. From what I understand about that, people who do it feel compelled to, just as I am with biting my lip. I don't know what to do, but I don't want it to wreak havoc on my appearance later down the road and want to try to do something now to first stop it, and then treat it (the damage) if anyone has any suggestions or advice, I would greatly appreciate it if you would post it for me, because at this point, it's my only hope to save my almost perfect lips (which I feel i really would have today if I weren't teased about my lips the way i was, this really sucks!) and if I posted this in the wrong place, would one of the mods kindly move it to where you think it belongs? I know this post was long, i apologize for that and i didn't mean to hi-jack the thread... i believe i stayed on topic, which is if the lips2kiss system would help me. I thank those who read this long post for your time, as I know it is valuable. Thank You Smile

Your story really hit home to me. My childhood was the same, the nickname "bongo lips" was very familiar to me. I developed a very thick skin and to this day I cannot stand being in groups of people for long stretches of time. The girls were not mean, the boys were. 4th grade was the worst. But I got over it, and so can you.

The marks can heal but you have to stop biting your lips. Easier said than done, I know. I don't want you to take it the wrong way, but talk to your doctor about this behavior. Like compulsive hair pulling or skin picking, it can be overcome.

Try not to hate them. Not letting go means your tormentors are living rent free inside your head. You're so much better than the people who teased you. Try to pity them, that their own lives were so devoid of meaning that they had to pick on you.

And ENJOY those gorgeous lips!

Oh Miss L - my heart gos out to you. Many of us have suffered in similar ways but we are perhaps not brave enough to explicitly describe what it did to us. THANK YOU!!

A book that deals in part with what you have endured and how it may impact your life : Queen Bees abd Wannabes - Rosalind Wiseman. Beauty of any sort always elicits a response, inexplicable sometimes to the young girls who posess it. It is a shame that a positive quality can impact the lives of girls and women in a NEGATIVE way all their lives.

You are not alone in this. Please address this issue so that you can be free of it and enjoy the wonderful gift of beauty you have been fortunate to receive.

Immacolota & mismis~

Wow, thank you for your resp onses. I am taken back by the amount of people I have come across that relate to my situation and it is saddening at the same time. No one should have to go thru their childhood enduring this type of bullying because of the effects that it causes later on in life. I know for a fact I am not an ugly person inside or out but the teasing and name calling made me feel ugly and sometimes i feel ugly as an adult because of it. There wasn't a day that went by that someone didn't say something to me about my lips so imagine how difficult it was for me when full lips became the in thing & people started actually spending a lot of money to get was i so desperately wished i didnt have or at least wished people didnt dislike so much. Its funny because i was defined by my lips back then and i am defined by them now, each at opposite ends of the spectrum.

The hardest thing i have experienced was running into a couple of the boys that used to tease and call me names, and having them compliment me on my lips! It was a bitter sweet moment. Thank you both for your recommendations i will surely look into them. I didnt realize how its affected me all these years until i posted my story. Thank you for taking the time to read it and respond. I greatly appreciate it.

As for my original question, does anybody know if the lips2kiss sysyem would aid in removing the embedded teeth marks on my bottom lip? I would love more than anything to get rid of this unsightly aspect of my otherwise pouty lips and will order it if it would help!

Thanks again!
xoxo

Have you talked to a dermatologist? I don't know anything about the Lips2Kiss system (decided not to buy both because of this thread and because it's too expensive) but I'll bet there's something that can be done. Whatever you decide, you've got to break that habit though.

Good luck to you sweetie!

Hi MissLenaiya, I am not sure if lips2kiss system would help with you issue or not but I do have an unused set (liquid gold hydrator, night glaze, night lip cream and lip exfoliative) that I would be willing to give to you for free if you want to try it out. I think the set only last about 4 to 6 weeks worth of use but you would be able to see if you liked it or not. I order 6 months worth when I first bought it and didn't stick with it that long. PM me if you want it.

Miss L,I can totally relate as I have big boobs and did at an early age and was teased incessantly for it(the worst was from my own father, who was an alcoholic).

Anyway,I was thinking, there is a product to help nail biters and it apparently has a bad taste,so perhaps that would help you break your habit?

Best of luck to you and Immacolata is right...you must forgive your accusers in order to let go of your pain.Otherwise, you will carry it forever. You may need professional help to do that:I did,and it totally changed my life.

Oldish thread I know but I'm adding my experience- L2K was a waste of money for my lips in my opinion, just nonstop peeling that went on for the entire time I used it. Now what I did notice was lines around my moms lips, as she started the program with me, diminished slightly which I thought was great. She bought the ultrasound machine from L2K and all the ULLE products/ lip products. I will also say I saw very little plumping effect when I was using it, perhaps a nearly imperceptible improvement in the pinkness of my lips. It was also kind of exhausting, seemed to take up SOOO much time. I really see the potential in something like this but it just didn't work for me the way I wanted it to Confused

I used this many years ago and found it useless and even more maddening when it leaked in my Gucci purse and made a total mess!
