Hi. First off, I"m a male so I know this is pretty rare to post this on this forum. Im Asian male and in my mid thirties.

I had this issue develop more than a decade ago when i was in my early twenties or so. I think it might been even sooner. So basically my buttocks area is very dark like dark hyperpigmentation. My groin area when I spread my legs and thus the inner thighs have the same exact issue. I believe the reason due to this was because I use to sit on a chair a lot while using computer when I was younger.

I also had a pilonidal cyst in my buttocks area that was removed a while back around this time. When i went to dermatologists back then, I didn't go to any good ones back then, they gave me hydroquinone. I used it for a short while and either it didn't work or I didn't use it long enough. Then eventually i stopped using it because i think i had some burning with it so not sure if i should continue. Fast forward maybe few years later but this was still many years ago, dermatologist saw me and said you could do IPL laser or something like that.. but he seem to be against it so i never bothered with it.

Now many years down the line, im in still same predicament. I can google some images for you all or even take picture of it for you to look at. But imagine very dark hyperpigmentation in the buttocks/groin area which looks very bad and embarrassing.

Now i have bought kojic acid soap before on ebay since i read it lightens hyperpigmentation. My issue is i been very lazy and do it for a week at most and then stop etc. So i never know if it work or not.

I still have that soap right now so i can continue trying it. But anyone here has this issue and could tell me what they tried and worked? Also I still have acne now and try to keep it in under control but main issue is those red marks from acne. I use some aha glycolic acid on it from alpha hydrox souffle. I used it many years ago and it helped but now im not sure if its working well.

But would a strong AHA work for my buttocks/groin area though? If so, which specific product? What about those glycolic or TCA Peels I hear about?

Anyone know of any product that works for something like this?

Like if you type in google images

Groin Hyperpigmetation
Buttocks Hyperpigmentation

That is the issue I have. Would like if anyone has advice on this.
