Path of Exile 2 promised to build upon the deep complexity of its predecessor, and the all-new "Bloodline Support" mechanic embodies this philosophy perfectly. It transcends the traditional gem system of Path of Exile 1, completely changing how players build their gear and, in the process, impacting the use and value of Path of Exile 2's currency.

The core of "Bloodline Support" is that a single support gem can benefit from multiple powerful skills, even if they aren't directly connected to one another. Through the "Bloodline" system, this "lifetime damage" can provide bonuses to support skills, powerful skills, and even spells cast by a character, provided those skills share the same "Bloodline" or "ancestor."

The actual mechanism is that Hard Stone absorbs the properties of its ancestors' other active skills, forming a network of connections across all slots. This paradigm shift is significant. First, it significantly reduces the reliance on finding the perfect 5- or 6-link item and increases the accessibility of multi-slot spells.

This change increases the usability of armor and weapons, allowing for a wider variety of unique items to be crafted without sacrificing crafting strength. This change alone is likely to have a significant impact on PoE 2's currency market, as demand for 6-chain items will decrease, while the price of high-end support gems (especially those with powerful bloodline abilities) may increase.

Crafting priorities may shift from related items to completing individual gem types and finding unique items that align with these new relationships. Secondly, bloodline support creates diversity and encourages skill usage. Players can now access a variety of skills that provide unique benefits by sharing gems.

To further enhance the experience, we encourage players to delve into the complex process of maximizing their character's potential by combining gems and ancestral attributes. Path of Extinction 2 is more than just a large collection of gems. Intelligent interaction is crucial, and bloodline support is a core part of this philosophy, with significant impact on PoE 2's finances and market.Discover everything Poe 2 has to offer get expert insights and resources at U4gm.
