Cheri,
It is wonderful putting a face to your name. You are lovely and so young looking! IMHO you look great just the way you are.
Sorry to hear about the hard times you have had. My best wishes being sent your way. |

I agree that you look great. The upper eyelid treatment is good. I had it years ago when I had a cyst on one lid (easy and makes you look awake). The lower you do not seem to need and I had a friend who still has visible marks from that.
I would try facial exercises for the other issues before surgery. Although the upper bleph is just done with local/seditive the facelift is real surgery and there are risks and results can be from great to bad.
Good luck! |

I agree -- you have eyes much like my best friend, and she does amazing tricks with darker eye shadow above her eyes -- making the area there recede. Go light on the highlighter, and try adding some subtle shadows there. Don't be too eager for surgery.
And I'd hesitate to go to a doctor who does a mere local. This is a major operation, not a minor procedure. Go to the very best doc you can afford, not the closest, or the easiest, or the nicest. I live in face-lift land, and I see horrible results all the time. It's downright grotesque, sometimes. |

Cheri,
Please don't do anything to your face! Seriously, I am 25 and I would guess that you are about 35. I know that you have been through a lot, but make sure you're not having a "Britney Spears Moment" (like when she was having hard times and shaved her head). It might feel like you need to do some sort of drastic physical transformation to move forward, but I'm afraid you might regret it. I can't imagine that plastic surgery of any sort could be better than how you look right now! I'm not against surgery, I just don't think you need it |

Cheri seriously I had to go back to the beginning of the thread to make sure you said you were 47, you look fabulous!!!
I am all for going under the knife when it becomes necessary. I mentioned getting my under eyes done in the next couple of years to my new aesthetician she made the comment
"keep in mind we are all our own worst critics and you never look as bad as you think you do!"
Good luck on which ever path you choose |

| So your appointment is soon. Let us know what you're thinking! You look great but I think people should do what their gut tells them. |

| It sounds like you’re making a thoughtful decision for yourself. A full facelift can address overall facial aging, including areas affected by grief, and doing it under local anesthesia can make recovery easier and safer for some patients. Make sure to discuss your goals clearly with the facelift surgeon, ask about the results you can realistically expect, and review before-and-after photos. It’s also important to talk about recovery time, pain management, and any risks so you feel fully prepared. Trusting a skilled, board-certified surgeon will help you achieve natural and refreshed results. |
