I really want to purchase some products from the Dr H range but i am unsure as to which of the products i should purchase for my skin Question .

I have fairly normal skin apart from my forehead and the skin around my nose which is occasionally dry. Other times my T-zone can be oily. Does this mean i have combination skin or oily etc???

Please can some one advise me on which Dr H cleanser, toner and moisterizer would be suitable for me? Rolling Eyes

Hiya Becz

From what I have tried in the Dr H range, I would definitely recommend the Cream Cleanser, because it's so light. It's great for combo skin because the oil in there helps to balance.

For the toner, if hyou don't often get breakouts or don't have oilier skin, it's good to get the regular toner not the clarifying one - as it may be more drying.

For the moisturiser, the quince day cream is great to start with, not too thick but you can apply as needed to drier areas.

You should definitely buy a trial pack, or some loose travel sized ones to begin with, they last about 1 week.

Go for the introductory tin which contains all the products but in trial size.
This is the way I started with Dr Hauschka, you will know if you like the range before you start spending on the bigger sizes.

I purchased the sample pack at first, like rosebud. My favorite by far is the cleansing cream, followed by the rejuvenating mask and cleansing clay mask.

I think the sample pack would be the way to go. Based on what you described though, I would go with the Cleansing Cream, the normal toner and the Quince day cream. The rejuvenating mask is definitely worth getting a sample of to try.

Glad to hear it! Just when I was using the Cleansing Cream and rhythmic conditioner by themselves my skin was already looking fantastic. I was really amazed by the difference in two weeks. I hope you continue to get good results with it.

I just started using Dr. H Cleansing cream with the facial toner yesterday.. So far my skin feels smooth...Little dry not much.. Kinda breaking out a little more then what i started with. BUt i was told that there is some kind of purging process.. I just hope it aint serious...like the murad acne complex one.. That was very bad and purge nightmare..
But i was told to just try the CC and Facial Toner for now..

I'll tell my results in 10 days.. Very Happy

I had a very mild break out when starting with Dr H, too...it shouldn't last very long or get very serious.

hopefully it wont... cause obviously its starting to get into a purging process.. The pimples are white and hard.. Sad So i guess that means their purging out.. i'll see it out goes by the end of the weekend...Monday Morning i'll post again.. Smile

oh another thing. My nose feels rough. It used to be smooth but with blackheads. I guess that means the pores are opening up and blackheads are somewhat going to come out..

This is from the FAQs section of drhauschka.com :

Q: I just started using your products. Why am I breaking out?

A: Medications and other skin care regimens may have suppressed your symptoms. When transitioning to Dr.Hauschka Skin Care products, a period of acclimation to a new way of caring for the skin is typical. Dr.Hauschka products activate the skin, encouraging it to function as it was intended, therefore suppressed, underlying conditions may surface. As the skin returns to a balanced state, the symptoms will subside. To more quickly encourage balance and help ease the transition, use Rhythmic Night Conditioner.

my skin has improved over the period of 3 weeks of use.. I use the CC and the facial toner with the moisturizer.. It has cleared up most of my blemishes and pimples.. Although i still have some problem areas around the jawline.. I breakout less and my skin looks better from what i started with.. I dont purge anymore so thats a relief.. Lets see how it goes in the next 2 weeks.. Hopefully the little blemishes i have left dissapears..

I heard that its good to use a cleanser before the DR. H Cleansing cream... I did i broke out more...I used the Murad Moisture Rich Cleanser to be exact.. When i used the CC with the facial Toner it did pretty good. But since CC is really not a cleanser what cleanser should i use before the Cleansing Cream? Any advice?? Should i try the cleansing Milk? would it be to much for my face????

Cause i have more pimples then from when my skin was getting better when i was first just using the CC and facial toner...

In your case, whether you need cleanser or not is debatable. You don't wear makeup, so the cleanser would only really be to remove oils and dirt from your skin. Try this - use just the CC and use a toner afterwards on a white cotton ball and see if you pick up any dirt etc. If not then I would say skip the cleanser. Btw, it sounds like the other cleanser + the CC were too rich for you in combonation (or perhaps the cleanser itself is not agreeing with your skin). If you want to use a cleanser I would try something less moisturising - maybe one of the Dermalogica cleansers?

Well its been about a month and a half of me using the Cleansing cream, the cleansing milk and the facial toner.. My skin looks better but now im breaking out.. Im confused.. Any suggestions that i should do? Do you think if I only use the CC every other day? It will be kinda strange to do that cause at first when i used the CC everyday it was getting better.

Another thing the facial toner its a spray. Just spraying on my face is effective? I saw a thread about this but couldn't find it

I've been using the homemade version of DHCC but precede that with the OCM. I, however, wear a lot of makeup, or at least foundation and powder on a regular basis. If I decide to not leave the house, and thus not wear makeup, I either use the OCM or DHCC, but not both.

So things got better and then you started to break out again? Did you add anything?

If I were to change anything it would be the cleansing lotion as suggested before. Go with something less moisturising. Dermalogica is sold in many salons and also carried by EDS. I'm sure there's many other suitable ones - that was just a suggestion because I recently got reacquianted with Dermalogica cleansers and I like them - it's a good brand.

Sounds like you have combonation skin. I would suggest using the Dr. H CC and toner
