I picked these up at Wal-Mart about a month ago. I bought is on whim, but admit I really like them both.
First the pen: I love the french manicure look, but don't like how fake it looks on long acrylic nails. I have short nails and over the years I've tried French Manicure 'kits' with little success. I can never get that line neat and I was never really happy with the effort it took to look 'ok'.
Well, in comes the SH FM Pen. I love it!
It comes in two different sizes. Since I have short nails I bought the pure white with a 'fine tip'. WOW! It was so easy to do!
Getting the tip saturated with the polish took a bit, but once it was good and soaked I haven't had any issues with it.
It makes a nice thin white line exactly where I like it and I have the Sally Hensen Hard as Wraps clear polish that works nicely over the top to lock the color on my nail.
The Hard as wraps has really helped my nails stop peeling or cracking. I have soft nails and they do not grow much beyond the tip of my fingers without peeling, but since I started using the Hard as Wraps, my nails are stronger and I have more of a tip for the white too! A true Win-Win!
So if you like French Manicures and are not coordinated then try this pen. It works great on toes too!
I love the look of a thin line on my short nails and it doesn't matter how short the nail is because the fine tip can put a little color on the edge and make it look like I have a nail tip even when my nail may have peeled too low.
Plus, the hard as wraps really helps make my nails harder (unlike the Hard as Diamonds polish I tried). This one works! As long as I keep it on my nails, they grow longer and don't peel and are harder to bend.
Both products work great and do as promised. |
