As per Dr. Maibach- who after my chat asked to speak with the dermatologist in our group; They worked together some years ago- keep it simple!!
- wash once a day with my home brew oatmeal soap.
- add moisturizer IF NEEDED, after 2 weeks and whatever worked before. He wasn't interested in brands/doctors
-remain a vampire. If not in the sun- don't use SS
-Don't be fooled by words "natural/organic". Anything with heavy botanicals = sensativity
- not all "doctors" are created equal

In Short our practice's Derm said: "keep in simple stupid. You have no wrinkles. No sun damage. No scars. Stop the boutique crap. There is no cure for aging."

So, morning water only. Emu oil if needed. I wear no makeup to office only occasions. Wash at night with oatmeal. Thats it.

Your going to laugh at how simple this is: colloidal oatmeal- like aveeno bath or store brand, aloe gel, a littlebit of rose hip oil- not boutique at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About CIS, it might be possible to answer your question if you had been using only 302 products, and following a traditional 302 protocol. But since you were adding other products into your routine, that are known for causing problems with 302, there's no way to know what caused those issues

lowbrow, I wasn't using any products that were known to "cause problems w/ 302". I had stopped ALL of my non-302 products initially and saw an immediate onslaught of blackheads. Products I used after that were approved of when I used them.

I was told to add back in my Retin A (2x/wk) AND when the blemishes started, I sought out additonal solutions to that. I got my ideas from all the notes on the 302 thread and most of them were suggestions from Dr H. The baking soda method Daniel wrote about (from Dr H) and the green tea mask, using BP (from the manual), using the drops prior to cleansing (Calm Skin website), a clay mask (a 302 esty) etc, etc.

Remember, I tried all this over a course of 7 mos. That's a very long time to spread out using a product here or there. It was not something done in such a short time to be bombarding my skin, persay. My skin had plenty of time w/ just 302 products on its own. With my esty's guidance, I also would try diff 302 products (I have invested quite a bit into this scheme). At some point, I tried going full strength (instead of using B4 cleansing) and also cut back on them as well(overload theory). All these diff methods tried over a course of 7 mos.

I would like to try again, but just adding in ONE 302 products at a time. This way, I can judge whether any particular product has an ingredients in it that might have caused my reaction. I found common ing in the acne line-up that might be at issue. I was using that line-up pretty extensively. Also, my starting out w/ 3 of the products made it hard to tell if any one of them was causing problems (acne cleanser, acne mist, FBB and adding the acne drops after 2 wks). I also had been under going severe stress at the time, so were the breakouts from that instead?

Who knows. I really had wanted 302 to work for me. That's why I'm willing to try again. The salts are doing great at clearing me up, but it is taking much longer than I had expected. I thought it was going to move much faster from how my skin reacted in the the first week of using them, but then things started slowing down. My biggest thing that needs to clear up now is all these blackheads that I got early on. A lot of those are now 'purging'. My face was the worst mess it has ever been in before I tried these salts. If I were't so against using an anti-biotic, that's what I would need to get thru this. I am on my 5th wk of using the salts.
