Does anybody have the link to either Carekate or Molly's hair serums?
I’d like to take credit, but it was actually AriesExtreme that provided us with the DIY hair loss hints, here’s a direct link to her post: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=5981&start=512
The one supplement I haven’t already seen mentioned is Biotin. Silica (aka “Horsetail Extract”), MSM and Biotin are needed for healthy hair/skin/nails and the supplement should contain at least 1000 mg of Biotin per day to be effective. I am personally taking a supplement I bought at Walmart called “One Source - Complete - Hair, Skin & Nails” which contains all three supplements. It comes in a purple box with pink and one lettering/graphics and you’ll find it in the Vitamin aisle, in the section devoted to “Women’s Health” and you get 60 capsules for around seven bucks. I don’t have problems with hair loss – indeed, I’ve got TOO MUCH hair, if such a thing is possible! – but since I’ve been taking these supplements my natural hair growth has increased for 1-inch per month to 1 ˝-inches per month.
I agree with the previous suggestion that circulation problems could be to blame, or exacerbating the problem. I would suggest that you make yourself some rosemary oil and use at as a treatment at least once per week and MASSAGE it into your scalp for at least 15 minutes to stimulate circulation.
To make rosemary, combine 1/2 cup of jojoba oil plus 1/2 cup of extra virgin coconut oil (you’ll need to melt the latter because it is a semi-solid oil) in a clear glass jar or bottle. Add ˝ cup of rosemary leaves then put lid on jar and fasten tightly. Place jar in a sunny window for a week to allow the rosemary to infuse the oil with it’s benefits. If you want to supercharge the rosemary oil so it’s even more effective at stimulating hair growth, you might want to add some sea kelp bioferment extract and peppermint essential oil....
As always, if you don’t want to go to the bother of whipping up the rosemary oil yourself, I’ll be happy to make a batch up and ship it to you so PM me for details. I can also put together any of the recipe suggestions from AriesExtreme for you as well, as I already have most of the ingredients in my “lab.” |
