Baseline advice : Exercise is King, Nutrition is Queen (Jack LaLane).
For the body - Exercise is key to staying young and taut. A workout also provides blood flow to the extremities and feeds the skin.
Also for the general appearance of the skin dry brushing Will help tone and increase cell turnover - give a glow and Cerave moisturizer after is full of yummy things to feed and soften(I buy it in the tub). I also recommend a Japanese towel called Salux - It is unparalleled for soft skin and a means of loofahing in the shower. See reviews on Makeup Alley. There are raves on EDS about Carole Maggio's Body To Go product which may still be on special this month but I dont know. It's designed to lift the body.
Sunscreen of course. And on Skinbiology it is endorsed to do acid peels and dermarolling. |

Like others have said, sunscreen - since we don't do as much anti-aging treatments on our bodies as on our faces, and places like hands/forearms/chest tend to be exposed to sun all year round (outside in summer, and via office windows etc in winter), the skin there tends to age faster.
I've been using GOW 15% glycolic cream for a few weeks now and I've been really liking it. It does sting a little but it does seem to be helping address some ideas - I've got clogged pores on my upper arms and some sun damage on my back, which is improving.
I think for addressing sag/droop - best thing is to remain at a stable weight, as gaining and losing the same 5 pounds will destroy arm/breast skin. This is also where weight training comes in as it will help offset some extra caloric intake.
As for body composition - I think the most youthful look is when you have muscle covered by a light layer of fat. You don't want to focus on just cardo or "girl" weights (ie 5 lbs) because you'll never look as a sleek and fit as with weight training. |
