Bethany there is a smell to nerium but I like it...not perfume like more earthy. I have noticed that it can cause a slight drying of my eyes(meaning the tearing) and therefore a slight redness of the white of my eyes in the morning...it goes away. I could refrain from using it on the eye lid and so close to the under eye but I want all the gusto so I cover all the eye area. |

I read the reviews saying it smells but I take those kind of reviews with a grain of salt. I have always found that what one person thinks smells badly the next person will like I don't care for perfumy smells in face products so earthy is just fine by me if that's what the natural smell is.
Much of the population grew up on the perfumy smells of Estee Lauder skincare etc. and aren't used to what the real scent of ingredients is.
It sounds like this is a must-try-to-know kind of product (like all of them ) |

I normally wouldn't care as long as it isn't majorly perfumey, but then I tried ReLuma (which doesn't smell to most people) and found it to be very earthy...as in a combo of mildew and rotting flesh.
I would probably buy some samples on ebay before springing for a whole bottle since I am more sensitive than most. |

I like the smell of Nerium. The smell of ReLuma is putrid by comparison. Disclaimer: my sense of smell is a bit dodgy due to sinus issues. But, Bethany, I don't think you'd have an issue with the Nerium smell. |

I could get over the MLM issue, but I'm having difficulty with the idea of seeing the results in two weeks. Not much real remodeling of the skin takes place in such a short time. I'm also not very impressed with the statistics - 30% decrease in wrinkles in 2 weeks and only 33% after 4 weeks. Sounds kind of superficial. |

The pics definitely out perform the studies...I would say the pics are not the norm (YMMV!), and who knows what the real timeframe was for those results and what else they were using. |

BTW, I've now been using Nerium for a week. I have not been transformed - I don't see a new me looking back from the mirror. My neck skin does seem a little tighter - but then, I should be starting to see some improvement in that area from the vicious IPL I had a couple of months ago. (Not to mention my microcurrent treatments).
I am finding this serum very drying, which some people might not like. But because I suffer from over-productive oil glands, I think this may be a good thing for me (it's not feeding my lumps and bumps). So my skin appears smooth. I see no improvement in my lip lines - but then, its only been a week. |

I saw a few people mention the drying aspect on amazon. Hopefully it normalizes for you. |

Most of us are having difficulty understanding the idea of results in two weeks. But at least they've attempted to measure any improvements instead of relying on subjective opinions from trial participants. Personally, I'd be happy with a 30% improvement in my lip lines in two weeks. |

I'm not sure a 30% improvement in lip lines would be all that noticeable. |

love the smell of nerium - natural smelling - nothing perfumey or synthetic - I've got a very hightened sense of smell - (always amazes me when i can smell peoples laundry detergent as they walk by - the amazement is not that i can smell it, but that they can tolerate it!!!)
nerium does feel "drying" after you put it on - i would NEVER use it as a day cream - however, it is not drying to my skin - does that make sense?
i'm liking it - even my esty friend thinks it's helping me - she herself, after a second try, still doesn't like it. I see absolutely no improvement in my one of my friends at work - i mean NONE!!! The other one, yes, i do see some improvement. |

These are the kind of reviews that always give me pause. It's not so much that something stinks or someone has a bad reaction to a product. Those kind of things happen. It's when the review just disappears because it was negative that I have a real problem. Good, bad or indifferent, you should be able to leave your opinion on a companies website.
"Dear Ms Higdon: "This product has given me an allergic reaction. I have discontinued use, but after calling your customer service, I was informed that it is my problem I am having an allergic reaction to the product and I will receive no refund for the 3 months supply I am in receipt of.... For the record that's 300+ dollars I am out, on a product that I can no longer use and had to spend money on a derm visit to discover the origin of the allergy. In addition to informing me of my "problem" your custmer service rep Elizabeth continued to tell me that your return policy has a statue of limitation of 30 days and anything beyond that you will not be responsible for. She also told me to go to your website to file a complaint .There is no avenue for that on your website. So all I have now is 3 bottles of your smelly product and 300 dollars poorer because as your customer service representative informed me: It's my problem that I have an allergic reaction and not all people who use the product have an allergic reaction. some customer service you have"
They have since censored my statements removing it from the page and blocked me from any commentary on their public forum.
This company only responds to all of the positive feedback.

Does anyone have a Nerium update they'd like to share? I keep thinking back to some of the "5 days later" photos and wondering how it's going... |

I'm afraid they wouldn't be able to use my photos for the 5 day transformation. My skin looks pretty much the same - except that my lumps and bumps aren't as noticeable.
I do like the way the serum sinks in TOTALLY. After application, there is no residue on the skin at all. In fact, it's very difficult to spread over the face because it does sink in so fast. Spritizing the face prior to application is the answer.
I'm happy to continue using it at present. But I wouldn't be recommending this for anyone who wants to see a face-lift in 5 days. |

Thanks a lot. I was reading on another seller's website that they recommend not washing the skin in the morning - just adding a bit more water to "reactivate" the ingredients which are still in skin from the previous night's application. I can't find the link now, unfortunately.
It made me think that would imply any usage of acids (which supposedly inactivate this stuff) are a complete no-no (a.m. and p.m.) if you want to give it the best chance to work magic My skincare life revolves around acids so...
I also wonder more about the contraindications for other skincare products used at the same time as Nerium (which the company seems to be very quiet about...one way or the other...) and whether using zero else except for plain emollient like jojoba for example might be the best option. My I ask what you're using by way of moisturisers, other stuff?
I've got a rather enormous Nerium bush in my garden so can't stop thinking about this |

Here's a video on how to apply Nerium correctly.
http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=AU#/watch?v=tall0v7alq0
She mentions not using acids, but I'm definitely not giving up on Vitamin C. I'm not using Retin A at the moment because I've just started treatments with the ReAura Laser. She says to rinse the face with water in the morning but doesn't mention the product "reactivating". That sounds BS to me. I have only ever washed my face with water in the morning and never use a cleanser in the am.
In the morning I'm applying the Nerium then Osmosis Vit C, a DIY Niacinamide Serum, EL Perfectionist (just started on that) then Rosehip Oil. In the evening it's Nerium, EL Night Repair and then a Kiels Oil. |

Just further to the smoother skin I've seen with this product: I have a condition called Sebacious Hyperplasia which is caused from blocked glands. I have to be very careful about what I put on my skin because some products "feed" my bumps and they grow. I've been to several dermatologists regarding this problem and have even had some of them lasered off. But nothing seems to keep them down - they never totally go away and just when I think I've got them under control they come back.
But since I've been using the Nerium (which is only one week) my skin is looking "bumpless". I'm not getting too excited because it will be just my luck to get them all back again. But tonight I thought I'd Google "Sebacious Hyperplasia and Nerium" to see if anyone else had this experience. This is what I found:
http://sherrireed.getrealteam.com/neriumad/my-nerium-age-defying-treatment-3-day-results/
You can see the bumps in the before photo and the "bumpless" skin in the after. I have experienced the same thing so I thought this was very interesting.
Here is another example:
http://sherrireed.getrealteam.com/neriumad/no-boxtox-needed-when-using-nerium-ad/
BTW - I've also come across quite a few people who find the smell highly objectionable - I don't mind it at all!
ETA: I've just noticed in my post above that I said I was using Nerium in the am - that is a mistake, I'm only using it at night. |

Add me to this list too!
Keliu thats pretty impressive, if derms and laser's do not keep the bumps at bay but this is!! I agree with most of what I've just read, no way 5 days to 2 weeks is a good test, but if one is seeing results by then, its a good sign! Hoping its what the pictures claim. |

I'm at the three week mark now. Can't say I've seen any miraculous improvements - but I am liking the way my skin looks. However, I'm also using the ReAura Laser. I'm happy to keep on using the Nerum though and have ordered two more bottles in orer to stock up! |

Also wanted to say that I do think my neck is looking a little better - and I'm not yet using the ReAura on that area. My neck skin looks about twenty years more aged than my facial skin - but I do think it looks a little smoother and tighter. |

im not sure how long i've been using nerium - a little over a month maybe.
My friend who is sort of monitoring my progress with it strogly feels it has plateued - I agree - however -what we both find remarkable is how it has almost completely cleared up two (undiagnosed) cancerous spots.. one is on my chest - i had prviously been treating that with the "black tar" ointment as well as frankencence--it would fade and then erupt- a pretty predidtable cylce - and then a constant peeling on my upper lip (which began with lips-2kiss prdocuts and never stopped peeling - don't think it was her stuff, just think it brought somthing out) anyway - both of these are almost gone completely...i do believe this was the original purpose of nerium - for that alone i'm going to stick with the product (although i've got to stop for a month (except on these two spots) because i'm demoing another product for a friend) -
I AM impressed with what it did before i plateaued - really helped a sundamaged area on my face and faded some oooooolllld acne scars at my temple (jeeze, i sound like a train wreck....)
hope that helps |
