Scalawa,
I did exactly that (copy and paste) and all I get is the message "This file no longer exist."
Maybe it's for the best, as the last thing I need right now is to spend more $$ on skin/face stuff .
(If I continue spending my hubby is gonna demand I stop playing with you guys ). |

I was surprised that I finally got it to work. I just copied it and pasted it above in address. There was a space at the end when I copied it and had to backspace and then it worked. |

You would certainly think with Mother's Day just around the corner that HSN would be stocked up on all the colors so people could order in time for it to reach us, especially if we want to buy it for a gift. I know that it's probably up to the supplier to do this, so why don't they? |

OK, I got it to work too - you just have to persevere, and you cant drag the link, that doesnt work.
I was completely engrossed there, Scally, very good video, I loved it.
Thankyou.
Frodo - I agree! I keep checking it daily to see if they have the 'medium' kit in stock! |

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I haven't decided yet if I am going to order one. I do like ordering from HSN because it is so easy to return stuff and regarding this product it is cheaper than ordering directly thru LH. |

Scali, is the video gone from Photobucket now? I used the link and it said the file was "gone"???? Oops, now I see the note about backspacing and deleting extra spaces - I'll try that.
The before and after pictures - you look great before but marvelous after - very natural looking makeup! |

I just watched. Thank you so much for doing this, you look great -- very impressive too how you can think and talk and apply make up at the same time!
Anyone having trouble viewing, it might help if you quote scalawaggirl's posts first so you can get the urls in pure text form for easy copying before pasting to a separate window or tab. |

Scally - Thank you so much for sharing your awesome video tutorial!! I have been following this thread with interest for a while now but haven't met anyone in RL who's used the LH face disk and could authenticate the quality of the product. Now that you've suavely demonstrated how easy it is to follow the application techniques and confirmed that the quality of the make-up is indeed very good (you looked beautiful and natural, BTW), I am totally SOLD and must buy one immediately! This is me spinning with excitement! |

Oh, I am so happy that you got so much out of it! For me, that's what makes this forum so great because a) I have a low-scale social life due to my job and b) even if I had 1,000 BFF, I doubt I'd find them as, shall we say "interested" in makeup, as I am! My sister has nary a clue and I'm going to tell her all about the Face Disk because it would be an easy option for her - plus she can follow along with the video.
ETA: I almost forgot! Yesterday, I used the disk as well as a light dusting of LM MMU - result? Lovely! Just absolutely perfect (I applied the LM "wet" with spritzing the brush after I swirled). So, it was LHFD (Lauren Hutton Face Disk) concealers, then LM MMU, then LHFD for shadows/contour/blush. Super simple and a really fast, polished look. |

Hi Scaley,
Loved your video. It really makes it alot easier to see someone actually going thru the steps rather than reading them. I am so tempted to try it. Is the concealer a powder or is it more like a cream. I'm just concerned about breakouts

Pat, |
Hi, Patrod. Glad it helped! The concealers are creams and just so you know, I am very prone to breaking out from ingredients and no problems with these products at all. The contours are shadows (nose, overall, blush and so on). |

Did you use blueshadow along the side of your nose or did I hear you wrong? What ever it was it looked spectacular on the after shot.

Pat, |
No. It's the nose shadow that's in the disc and it has a blue ring around it (thus, the blue reference that goes with the blue-banded brush). Hope that clarifies and thanks for the comment! I find it really makes a big difference but be sure to blend for non-obvious lines. HTH! |

Just an fyi that I did find a concealer kit that has two of the concealers and some of the contouring products. It's 35.00 versus the Try Me Trio for 25.00.
Does Lauren say to use the concealers first, before TM? Fredricke at IQ says to do the TM first then concealer.
kimberly
ETA that I've goofed. It's two sheer concealers and several spot concealers. No contouring. Now I'm really confused as to what I want. |

Hey, Kim. I assume you mean foundation as "TM" and the reason I do it the way I described is that the concealers are creams so they don't go well over my MMU. I imagine with liquid foundations, it may not be an issue but doesn't work well in that order with MMU. |

Kim!
I still haven't ordered yet, but I think the blush and eyeliner are worth trying at least once in addition to the various concealers and contouring powder, so if you have never used LH before, my thinking is that the best bet is to try the disc first. Did you know that you can order little replacement pans of this and that to stick in the disc as you run out? And that LH says you can just replace the balm with a knifeful of pink Blistex balm if you like? Still, if you end up really sold on the contouring or concealers but end up convinced that the eyeliner and balm were not vital for you after all, you can order those more limited kits in the future. JMO. |

Hey Ali!
Thanks for the opinion. I have HIGH cheekbones, thanks to my Mom's genetics and none of the issus *knock on wood* that she mentions so I don't see myself using the contouring stuff. I'm addicted to LM cake eyeliner and I use L2K and am fussy over what goes on my lips. ARGH. Some kind of make up addict I am huh? LOL. I am however intrigued by the blush.

*update* to my original post http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=3040&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
I haven't been using the disk much, just because I've been wanting a bit more "finished" look. I still think the product is so amazingly clever and so well organized! Since the recent revival of this thread, I've thought about it, and even watched Scally's video last night. I do have Lauren's DVD, very helpful. Also nice to see another lady use it and go through the motions, so, thank you Scally.
I still think the disk is top-notch for natural/enhanced look, in very little time. I used it today, and think I was finished in 5 minutes. The convenience of having everything in one disk is just perfection. For travel, this is all I would bring, unless I needed a more polished look; I'd throw a few more items in. For flyfishing trips and African safaris: perfection.
Personally, I would not recommend buying the disk for the blush. It is a pretty blush, no doubt. However, the beauty of this disk product is the convenience of all products together, not necessarily one product being over the top. If I put my dozens of blushes together, I would not choose the LH blush as a favorite, yet it works beautifully with the set.
For a minimalist, yet very complete put-together look, I still rate it 5 out of 5 stars. |

If I could only pick three things that I can't live without in the LH Face Disk it would be.
1. Sheer Concealer....It is magic!!!!
2. Blush...The most natural flush look ever.
3. Contouring powder...I love this under my
jaw and around hairline.
I use the above several times a week. Occasionally I use the other pots as I wear very little makeup. |

Winnie,
If you don't mind my asking, how would you describe your coloring? Since you like the blush so much and I'm curious about it I thought I'd ask.

Hi, Kim. I'm obviously not Winnie but wanted to weigh in because I'm a warm-light (medium, really) with warm undertones. I love the blush and echo what cedar said because I have a lot of other wonderful blushes, too. However, it is a lovely flush that looks very natural and there is a definite benefit to having everything together in one place for a quick makeup option. |
