For those of you who've also tried the JB peel, which is more effective? |

I used this for the first time tonight. I left it on longer than 3 minutes because I have experience using peels. My face was extremely smooth afterwards. I noticed that my face was much brighter and it seemed to have helped my hyperpigmentation. I had no discomfort whatsoever and no irritation. I loved the consistency and the smell as well. I will definitely order again.

I bought Pro Pumpkin Peel and the Microfiber cloth from NCN and it came with a sample size of Botox Alternative SPF 30.
Have tried both the Pro Pumpkin Peel and Cloth twice and Ilove them both! On the first night, I used the Microfiber and my face felt really clean (I did remove my makeup prior). I thought I read somewhere that I should only use the Pumpkin Peel 24 hrs after using the Microfiber cloth, thus, I tried the Peel on 2nd night. I thought that I had exfoliated pretty well the night before and may not see a significant change with the Pumpkin Peel but I was wrong. Pleasantly surprized by the result.
I Juice Beauty Apple Peel, Kate Somerville's Kate in a Jar and Aspirin Mask before, and I definitely most impressed with NCN's Pumpkin Peel.
Pro: Exfoliate best compared to JB Apple Peel, KIAJ and Aspirin Mask. Gentle (no flaking/dryness) but yet effective. love it!
Con: My broken caps seemed more obvious immediately after the peel. I have to remind myself not to put the peel on the broken caps.
I would buy again at this point. |

Wow! I got a sample of this with my Easy Eye Solution order. I tried it tonight and love it already. I left it on for about 3 minutes. I must have some tough skin because I only felt a minor tingling and had no redness. I am going to leave it on longer next time. My skin feels so refreshed! I will definitely be ordering a big container of this.
How often do you normally use this?

Not that I'm going to recommend it or anything. But I've been known to use NCN's Pumpkin Peel every 4 or 5 days, and leave it on for upwards of 20 minutes...
LOVE this stuff. It's always in my cabinet! |

For the pumpkin peel users, does your face skin actually peel off after a few usage? How does the dead cells on the top layer get removed? |

No visible peeling. Mild in the world of peels. |

I got a sample of this and used it. It smells amazing with the cinnamon. Not sure if cinnamon actually does anything for the skin. Anyway, I consider it a Glycolic Peel more than an enzyme peel. It contains 10% Glycolic.
Regardless, it is a nice product. Tingles me a little but nothing too irritating.
I will consider buying this if I was into Glycolic. |

I don't see the ingredients list posted yet on this thread for Nanci's 30% Professional Pumpkin peel, so here it is:
Water, Lactic Acid, Cucurbita Peop (Pumpkin which is high in Salicylic Acid), Sodium Lactate, Glycolic Acid, Galactoarabinan, Propylene Glycol, Vaccinium Myrtillus Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Acer Saccharinum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Extract, Xanthan Gum, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Powder, Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg) Powder, Allspice, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, Fragrance (Parfum).
Not sure I would consider this a Glycolic acid peel since it is weighted towards Lactic acid. I don't see any percentages given for each type of acid in this peel. |

I think you are correct, Lucy53, I just remember it's got Glycolic high on the list when I read the ingredient list. You just refreshed my memory. I wonder what the 30% refer to? May be Lactic/ Glycolic acids?
Regardless, it's a great product as agreed by most here.
Cheers. |

Pal, did you notice any change in skin when you used this on your arms? |

I love the way NCN offers samples with each order, that is how I was first introduced to the Pumpkin Peel. I found it to be far gentler than other peels I have tried. I notice after my first application that my skin was smooth and fresh. No irritation, just a tingling feeling while applied to my skin. I use it once a week for about 10 minutes and now it is only peel I would use or recommend. |

I received the NCN Pro Pumpkin Peel this week and tried it yesterday. It is one product I can say that I absolutely love.
The company has excellent service and includes detailed instructions that I followed to a "t". I'm a Retin A user so I stopped using it for a couple of days and then used the peel yesterday morning for 3 minutes, then washed it off. My skin looked so good I skipped foundation and just applied moisturizer and sunscreen and off I went to shop.
I also love the way this product smells. I cannot afford regular spa treatments so it's nice when I get a product that makes me feel like I've really splurged on myself. I bought the smaller size for $25 and it will give me many treatments so it really is cost effective. Thanks for all those who have recommended it. |

Thanks bordnfl2 for the review, I didn't know much about the Pro Pumpkin Peel, but had heard about it. It got me very interested so I went back and read all the previous posts. Now I'm very interested in trying it for myself. |

I just wanted everyone to be careful with this product. I absolutely loved it the first time that I tried it, I was almost temped to eat it (just Kidding).
The second time I used it I had a really bad reaction. I believe the circumstances and not the product caused the problem. It was after a long flight and I was in Chicago instead of Tampa. The temperature outside was 40-50 degrees cooler (-3), and there was a huge humidity difference. The house was heated with a wood burning stove, and was about 88 degrees.
The peal removed a layer of skin on the bottom half of my face and left me, red and swollen. I looked and felt much worse than after my fractal peals. It was so bad, that I called my Dermatologist and went to see to a plastic surgeon. Not a great way to spend a vacation/business trip. The had me coat my face with triple antibiotic cream and nothing else. I was able to wear makeup after 3 days. I do have pictures, but I do not want to post them, because I do not think that this is a typical result.
I have since used the product again and had no problems. (Yes, I am crazy) I am thinking of ordering a full size bottle soon. (Love the smell)
I just want to tell everyone to be careful, and go slowly, especially if you choose to alter the directions. |

How long did you keep it on to have that happen? I knew to stop my retin a a few days before and only kept it on 3 minutes. Next time I will keep on 4 minutes.
Also, I did a test spot first to make sure I would not have an issue. |

It happened a few months ago, so I don't remember the amount of time that I left it on. It was the max time on the instructions sheet from the sample. I believe that it was an odd occurrence, but I didn't want anyone to rush in and overdo. I think you will be fine with 4 minutes. |

Kinda a stupid question.
How do you time a peel? Do you start timing when you start applying it or when you finish applying? |

For this product, it only takes me less than 10 seconds to apply all over my face so I think it really makes very little difference. It's like putting on moisturizer. It is not a peel in the sense that your skin peels off but instead brightens the skin and gives a nice rosy, refreshed look. |

I usually start timing after it's been applied. But with peels with acids, I also make sure I'm close enough to the sink that I can wash it off within 20 seconds of the first signs of stinging. I've never been burned with this pumplin peel |

I forgot that I had a jar of PPP! Just used it and my face feels really smooth. I am going to start using it once a week. It has made my face feel tight. I like that feeling. I hope it looks like it has tighten up some of the sag! |

I tried this and I think its too harsh on my skin. I broke out in a rash on my cheeks and near my eye area. Dont think it is suitable for people with sensitive skin |
