Also want to add, I like Jane Iredale Disappear in Medium for my face but it doesn't last long enough. Mary Kay Signature concealer in Yellow for my face covers well (the formula is especially for the face) but is too light to use on large areas and the other MK concealer I use is too emmolient so I use it under my eyes. Also, I've used Jane Iredale circle delete, it's ok, nothing miraculous. Plus, I abore mixing prducts, just give me one I can use right out of the pot! So, I have yet to find my staple concealer, hoping Amazing does the job!! |

Does anyone break out from this? Judging from the ingredients, the concealer would cause a pimple fest on me. |

Gotta jump on the Amazing bandwagon.
This concealer is wonderful....
I had been using Burt's Bee's Concealer which was really good - the best I had used to date, except that it didn't stay put...I was doing touch-ups...(melasma on both cheeks)so I ordered the Amazing in Golden Light, and it is as good as the claims. Perfect match, stayed all day - and we were outside for a company cookout.
This is bad news for me as it means that now I have to try the Amazing Mineral Makeup. Damn this board, I am destined for the poor house!

Here is a photo of Amazing Concealer Golden Light on my under arm (which is really close to my face, maybe a tad lighter) compared to Jane Irdale and Revlon foundation shades I have. I wore the Amazing conealer on my upper lip, cheeks and under my eyes today without any other foundation or concealer, it does cover well and it lasts, it didn't slip right off my face, I was concerned about that. I used CG TruBlend Transclucent in light and medium mixed to set it. It does look a bit, I don't know, thick. I literally used about the size of a long grain of rice to do my whole face, well, not including my under eyes, I used three pin heads for each. This stuff is incredibly thick but relatively easy to blend. It didn't set like Revlon ColorStay will if left to dry. It's still tacky here on my arm after an hour or so.
It seemed like a good colour match but not quite right. It seems a tad pink or something, what do you guys think? I like to match my concealer to my complexion (not go lighter) because I use it on my cheeks and upper lip as well.
Looking at this photo, I think Jane Iredale Light is the best match of the bunch.

I thought golden light was supposed to be on the yellow side but it looked kind of pink in the picture. Now I wonder if the ultra light is more pink or yellow |

I think Ultra Light is even more pink, from the reviews at MUA.
I'm thinking I can use this to correct brown melasma, we'll see. It goes on differently, like on my arm it looks pink/orange, but on my face it looks more neutral, I don't know why. I do have a fair bit of brown on top of yellow, like freckles, maybe that's why.
The Buff Revlon foundation matches my face almost perfectly so I guess it is a bit darker than my under arm, not by much though. |

If ultra light is more pink then golden light then I can not use Amazing cosmetics since none of the colors would match me. |

I think the Amazing concealer looks funny when put on thick, like on my arm, but more natural when blended. It is so thick and highly pigmented and really meant to be spread out. This is probably why it looks far more natural when blended then on my arm up there or in the tube for that matter. |

I tried this concealer also, as I have a few acne scars on my chin and cheek that I'd like to mask. I figured for $40, you better not be able to see ANYTHING. Unfortunately, although it covered fairly well, the scars certainly are far from invisible and it honestly didn't seem that much better than just a layer of my mineral foundation alone. I'm definitely bringing it back. |

It's not oil free, you can see the ingredients in this thread somewhere, I posted them. You could also search the board for them or go to Sephora.com, which is where I found them initially.
It isn't oil free, I know for sure there is mineral oil and lanolin. It isn't very oily on though and lasts well enough. Men could use it no problem, just make sure you have an exact match so it looks really natural. |

Ya, I'm not sure about mine as well, I may sell it on eBay as it's not covering better than my regular foundation, which is Revlon Colorstay, I love that stuff! I think part of the problem is the shade, it's not matching me very well, too pink and the pinkness doesn't neutralize my melasma mustache at all which was my hope for it all along. Also, it's irritating my eyes if I use it inside the orbital bone, grrr.
One thing, I've worn it every day now for 3 or 4 and I have absolutely no clogged pores or breakouts. It is basically made of non-comedogenic ingredients but it is thick so that in itself sometimes causes me problems. |

I'm not sure which shade you need but I do know the three lightest shades are quite light. I would totally recommend emailing the spa here, EDS, they rock! |

I used to wear Revlon Colorstay all the time every day - I loved the formulation but I'm pretty sure that's what was making my skin so miserable. Once I stopped wearing it, my skin improved ALOT. I wish the same thing worked for everyone sometimes! Then a good product would be a good product! |

That's too bad! Have you tried the new version w/SoftFlex? It doesn't seem to be causing me problems, my previous foundation, BE and Jane Iredale were really bad for clogged pores. One thing about Revlon ColorStay that I really like is it's talc free. |

I have also tried SoftFlex, which was definitely better but then I ventured onto MMU experimentation and and still looking for the ultimate. |

I visit EDS today to place an order for some of my favorites skincare products. One of them is my most beloved " Amazing Cosmetic Concealer" which I still have half of the stuff in the tube. I thought it must had been more than two years since I got it so I better get a new one. And here I am finding myself reading my own rave post for the product almost two years ago. How time flies! Many things have changed here: so many new members, so many interesting posts to read and so many new products. I love to shop at EDS, not only because we are from the same city of Beautiful Vancouver, B.C., but also because EDS is simply the best place to be and to shop if you are a beauty junkie. |

I ordered the Amazing kit that had the concealer, mineral powder & setting powder. I expected it to conceal much better than it does. It seems to help minimize blemishes, but you can still see them. (and it cakes next to my nose....makes me nuts!)
All in all it is not a bad kit, but I guess I was expecting something a bit more "amazing". |

With such a great review, I think I will try this one with my next EDS purchase.
Thanks again.

I don't really need foundation for my face unless for very special occasions when I need to look better than my best! For every day,I just need a good concealer for the dark circles under my eyes and those marks and spots here and there. I've tried so many name-brand concealers. Some are very good and some are just so-so. Reading Casper's Mom rave of Amazing Cosmetic Concealer, I thought I had to try it. And I'm so glad that I did choose the perfect shade for my complexion which is "Light". I also just use the powder in the same shade for the whole face. I love the way it stays on my skin. After you put it on, you don't see the unsightly ugly spots and more importantly you can't see the concealer on top of them. Amazing Cosmetic Concealer amazingly works for my skin. There is no crack, no sweat, no funny colour and only perfect coverage that lasts the whole day. I use very little of it for each time so it must last a long time this tube of concealer. Thanks again, Casper's Mom. |
