I just wanted to add my 2 cents about the Mineral Cleansing Concentrate. I got a facial from someone who uses this line. I have very reactive skin and at the time I had a lot of very red and painful acne on my neck. She said to use this for a few days until my skin calmed down. I was very skeptical, and it was kind of expensive but I was desperate so I decided to give it a try. It IS drying, but for me in a good way. I have just used extra moisturizer while using it. She stressed not to use it all the time, only when I have flair-ups. And you only have to use a very small amount. I've followed the directions exactly, and I only use it in the evenings after removing my make-up. My skin seems tighter (the good kind of tight, not stripped) and less oily too. I'm pretty clear right now, so I'll keep using it for a few days and then take a break if my cysts go away completely. I'll update when/if that happens. |

I think you should know that the eminence products you are using now are not what they used to be. Actually the original eminence products now called in the USA is 'ILIKE' and distributed by a different company called szepelet. So don't waste your money on eminence unless you want to have a diluted range. |
Andi...I don't know if you work for Ilike, it sounds like it, but you are DEAD WRONG. They are a totally different company from Eminence.
Szep Elet was the company that manufactured (READ: took the formulations and ingredients and followed directions on making them for a fee) the Eminence line in the early days. When the contract was up, and Eminence was successful enough, they moved into producing their own products.
Szep Elet had the formulas, so they added parabens & gave it very similar packaging, marketing materials etc & then started selling it & advertising it as the real eminence. Eminence apparently took them to court & got it all sorted out. Ilike then had to change all their packaging, marketing materials & the like.
The strange thing is...everyone in the industry seems to know this...so why are people like you still trying to stir stuff up? |

You just proved a valuable point.
The thread may have been dead for a year, but I posted to it.....and YOU replied. Thus, it's still active, still out there. |

I noticed a few posts about Ilike SzepElet, and I am so pleased! I purchased some Eminence products several years ago and they have been sitting on the shelf unused ever since. I didn't realize until then that Eminence was bought out and reformulated. It was a huge disappointment. I used to love their products so much! Then someone told me of Ilike and it IS Eminence (their original formulas). I used to work professionally with Eminence prior to their new ownership & reformulation and LOVED their products and the results that they gave. I wish essentialdayspa carried Ilike and not Eminence! I'd love to get back into using it. |

I've started using this line and so far my two favorites:
Eminence Blueberry Soy Night Recovery Cream
This smells absolutely gorgeous and really lasts as you do not need to use so much as the cream is heavy therefore diluting with water makes it lasts that much longer. When I awake in the morning my skin looks rested and feels so soft.
Eminence Pink Grapefruit-C Gel
This product is brilliant. I have combination skin and have searched for a day product that is not to heavy, oily but moisurisers my skin. This is it. A real little gem. I'm lucky as have found something that suits my skin and will be sticking to this. |

The blueberry night cream is - also - on my constantly growing wish list. Just the thought of slathering fruits and berries on my face is appealing to me.
I was using their Carrot vitamin mask once a week for almost half a year and liked it very much. It made skin very smooth and glowy. I felt a stinging sensation from the mask and felt that it was working. My only objection is that the texture is clumpy and not easily lubricated on skin. I'm not so fond of the concept of blending the mask with some drops of tea or water before applying.
I also tried a sample of their sour cherry mask, but that seemed to be less potent, in my opinion. The sample of grapefruit C gel smelt wonderful and felt nice on skin.
I have bought a couple of their tea blends, as well, but found them to be overpriced and nothing special compared to cheaper fruit teas.
Eminence citrus lip balm is lovely and smells great. |

So, can someone tell me which is better Ilike or Eminence? I do like the look of some of the deep cleansing masks as I still get acne outbreaks and like something that really feels like it is working.
Despite having had acne for the last 5 years I still haven't found a spot treatment that is really brilliant (Peter Thomas Roth is pretty good 'though) - that is something that you put on the spot and then in the morning it is gone. Advertisers make you think products do this job and then the product is rubbish or maybe my spots are different to everyone elses.
So back to the question (or sort of) - has anyone tried the tomato lycopene masque? Please tell me someone who has porridge skin has tried it and now has skin like glass. |

I am an esthetician who has had the opportunity to work with and be trained by many natural and synthetic lines. Eminence is a great line but it's a professional one, it isn't made for any dope off the street to pick up and use, you need some guidence. The products are concentrated so that they can be diluted, actually all the masks require that you add water, tea, or juice. These products can last an average of 4-6 months which compensates for the cost... which really isn't that bad if you compare it to other "high end" lines. To top it off it's all natural and triple certified organic- by that I mean it's certified in the US (where the standards are very low), Canada (where the standards are a bit higher), and Europe (where they're insane!).
Looke into it for yourself... you should always do your own research because companies tell you what you want to hear. Just like the ILIKE vs. Eminence- they used to be one company. They divided and now are two seperate companies, happens all the time. Eminence seems to have made the most progress and advancements.
Like I said, look into it- always educate yourself. |

I bought the Blueberry masque/mask just for fun. Not impressed at all. It did nothing for my skin and is quite scented. Too pricey, no results. At least it didn't harm my sensitive skin. |

I've tried the Sweet Red Rose Cleanser and the Eight Greens whip Moisturizer. The cleanser I found didn't get my skin "squeaky clean". It almost felt like it left a film on my face. Expensive too. The moisturizer was pricey as well but I was slightly more impressed with it. It was thick so I thinned it out with water, it lasted a long time though. Too expensive for my taste with just so-so results. I doubt I'll purchase anything from this line again. |

I have tried Eminence Starter Set for SENSITIVE (Red Rose Collection). The smell is so so. Not really rose smell I expected. Will not buy the full size product. |

I used to use ilcsi products and have tried their rich grape moisturizer. It was quite oily but not hydrating enough. However, they do very good masks. I am using the rose-petal treatment. Love it! My salon I go to is gradually switching to Eminence. I still haven't figured out who was the the original founder with the original formulations. Anyway, would someone tell me which company's products are superior in terms of quality? By the way, I am trying the rose collection starter kit (eminence) for sensitive skin as well. The sweet rose petal whip moisturizer isn't quite the same as the ILcsi one. Will get back and let you know later. |

curious about this line so i ordered some samples from the buynaturalskincare site.
the package came in three days, and they doubled my order! i got two of everything i ordered at no additional charge... that was nice of them.
so far i've only tried the tomato lycopene mask... it smells like tomato soup and i think there's bits of oregano in it! as far as results go: it's a bit moisturizing & i suddenly had a very specific craving for tomato soup w/a grilled cheese sandwich , but other than that it was unremarkable and prolly not worth the $40. |

I have to agree with some of the posts. I went to a spa and they recommend this brands products. At first I really like them... but like some of the posts here they made me break out and dried out my skin. So I stopped and had to throw the products away... |

I am also a licensed esthetician, and have worked with both companies & if you are looking for an awesome product, I would have to say go with ILIKE, they haven't divided into separate companies, per say. Eminence is now manufacturing their own products (having nothing to do with Hungary, or being around since 1958) They were manufactured by Ilcsi, the original manufacturer in Hungary. Then were marketed to the US under Eminence brand, in 2005 Eminence decided to go their own way. Since then, Ilike/Szep Elet is the new marketing company in the US. So the "original organic products" are ilike organic skin care. Look at eh ingredient list and you will see the difference, try it on your skin and you will feel it!
