I have been through several bottles of the latte and do slough and peel and have from the start. The peel was never horifying, I would compare it when you begin retin A. I for one did not find the instructions that difficult and it does say go slow and everyone is different and you must go at your own pace after. Good luck. |

I've used the TCA Latte for only one week. I've got combo skin that is slightly sensitive.
I've never tried any TCA products and waited until the weekend to start in case I peeled or had a reaction. So, I used it Friday, Saturday and Sunday night following the instructions NOT to rub it in and just the layer sink in. I did not do the warm compress. I had no peeling, some warm sensation, and no redness. I let the Latte sink in and after a couple of hours and then put my eye cream around my eyes and a little emu oil all over my face before I went to sleep. In the morning, my skin was visibly smoother, my pores were smaller and there was just an overall brightening/lightening effect on my face.
Since I didn't peel, I e-mailed Julie to make sure I was doing it right. She confirmed that it was fine and that it was a gentle chemical "exfoliator" at this percentage of TCA. She said that I can use it every day if I wanted or use a thicker layer of it.
Given this info, I continued to use it on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Skipped Thursday and used it again on Friday.
I'm liking the effect on my skin. I'm going to try the next higher percentage TCA since she sent me the Peel Light as a sample.
A funny side note: this stuff does make your skin peel though. I used my fingertips to apply the Latte. I guess I missed a little in the crease between my fingers when I washed my hands. It made the skin there peel. |

I am wondering how to use the TCA latte now. I read on 1 website (makemeheal) where the people did not peel after the 1st day of latte use, and continued using the latte daily only to end up with bad looking skin. Then on other sites it says the latte is gentle, and can be used daily. So, how are all you TCA Latte users using your product? |

Hi Genie,
I'm just wondering if you're still using the TCA Latte and if you use any other skincare products besides the emu oil in conjuction with it. I'm currently using a vit c serum and Avene Ystheal+ Creme, so I'm not sure where to fit the TCA Latte into my routine. TIA! |

Hi rileygirl,
I read the same accounts and think that Julie recommends using the latte for a day (even up to 3 times the first day--not recommended if you're new to peeling though) and then waiting a few days for a slough. if nothing happens after those few days, then i think she said it's ok to apply the latte again (BUT i am not sure if she means right after in the same cycle or if one should wait for the 28 days). i think she just doesn't want beginners to apply continuously for days when first starting out. this is my interpretation from the threads so use it the latte with caution.
i just placed my order for the latte so will be able to update on my worries and results when it arrives.

Hi rileygirl,
I certainly will. Do you need more help with ways to use it? There's lots of postings on SI board for that, super useful info.
If you have the latte sitting around, make sure to shake it once every while, it separates.

I've been using TCA latte for about a month. I used it as directed the first time and in three days, as promised, I got a nice even peel. I've also put it on overnight a couple of times, but haven't seen much more peeling. I presume I peeled off everything that was loose. When I finish the bottle, I will definitely try the next strength TCA.
I'm also using Soy Lift and like it very much. It seems to smooth my neck wrinkles. People on this forum reported that, which is why I bought it. |

Thanks for the update chinachatters! if you want a stronger peel, Julie says you use the latte with another peel product like apeel daily or correct (stronger).
I really like the HA soy lift and so does my mom. it seems great and she has reported a lot of lifting action on her face. i, don't have much to lift at the moment, i but i think it's a great moisturizer. thanks for the reminder about the neck wrinkles, i should remind her to apply some there.
