These are before and afters of a girl on MUA who has been using DIM to treat her hormonal acne. I recently suffered an irritation breakout from using a lush product (grrr), but before that my acne was definitely coming under control after I began using DIM

I am a strong believer of Green Tea and have been taking green tea supplement to give my body anti-oxidants. Except for its caffeine, the tablets are actually very good for our body. Green tea apparently has maybe 10 times (i am not sure the exact number) more antioxidants that vit C. If you can find a green tea supplement without caffeine and is reasonable in price, grab it. It increases your metabolism as well (which will make you hungry more). |

Hi ladies!
OK, I have to chime in -- supplements happens to be an area of expertise for me because I had gastric bypass @ the age of 19 and have had to learn a lot about what to eat & what to take to keep my body healthy.
For me, I absolutely always start my day with a scoop of Greens First by Doctors for Nutrition. It does NOT taste gross and has a delicious minty finish! I think one scoop equals twenty servings of organic vegetables as well as some great probiotics which are excellent for the body on so many levels. I look forward to it every morning (on an empty stomach) because it is instant energy without jitters and makes me feel amazing.
Then, after breakfast has digested for about an hour, I mix 2000mg of MSM with 1000mg of Vitamin C (Ester-C) in a glass of juice and drink it. I learned about MSM from all the rave reviews on this forum and whew (!) has it done a lot for me. I noticed changes in my hair within a day or two -- it is so soft and full .. I love it! My skin is firmer and smoother as well, and the MSM gives me energy without jitters too.
At some point during the day, I take a whole food based multivitamin (either New Chapter Organics or the Whole Foods brand), because their absorption & assimilation are SO MUCH BETTER than any chemical source multivitamin (like Centrum, etc). They're not that much more expensive and are much easier for the body to recognize and use!
I also take either a Fish Oil capsule or a Complete Omega 3-6-9 Capsule (many companies make them, the important thing to look for is the absence of potentially harmful metals -- the purity standards should be listed on the bottle.)
And, that's it! I have a B.S. in Health Promotion and am a Certified Health Education Specialist, but I certainly don't know everything! I realize there are a lot of supplements out there and many do great things for people. But, as far as a daily routine recommendation -- I would say a whole food based multivitamin and either Fish Oil or Omega 3-6-9 complex are the basics for good health.
Hope this helps!!! |

Your current supplement stack is a solid starting point. The Centrum multivitamin offers general coverage, though some people eventually switch to a higher-quality multivitamin with better bioavailability. The B50 is useful for energy and stress support—just keep an eye on how your body responds to the higher dose. Your fish oil dose looks good, and using a molecularly distilled version is smart for purity. I did notice some consumer feedback on https://omega-xl.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html where people shared concerns about certain fish oil supplements, so it's worth sticking with a trusted brand that works for you. Citrical is a good choice for calcium, but make sure you're also supporting it with vitamin D and magnesium to maintain balance. MSM can be beneficial for joint and connective tissue health—many people see positive effects over time. Consider adding magnesium (like glycinate) and possibly a probiotic depending on your needs. You're on the right path. |
