vitacost for me. I've placed 2 orders from iHerb and both times they said they had something in stock but didn't, didn't send notice that they would delay shipping, and when I called them they didn't know when the items would be in stock. Not impressed with iHerb's cs. Also, when I do side-by-side comparisons, vitacost still comes out a few dollars cheaper for me (even with $4.99 shipping added in).

interesting to note, as I've been thinking of switching to iHerb, but perhaps they're no better ??

Have been buying from Vitacost for a long time, their service was fabulous a few years back. Suffice to say the days when i could place an order and know it would be delivered to me in Hong Kong within 48 hours are long gone. I've had so many bizarre screw-ups on orders lately ...and some of the responses I've got from customer service makes me wonder if their staff are all on drugs? A strange email I got from them recently describing the difference between "inventory" and "virtual inventory" still has me puzzled... (they had shipped my order but without several items that were and still are listed on the website as "in stock" but apparently those particular items are not in "inventory" but only "virtual inventory", whatever that means?)

And what's up with vitacost shipping their international orders through Germany now? Yep, their parcels arrive in Hong Kong complete with German postal stamps and country of origin is listed as Germany ??

Nonetheless I'm still ordering from them, as I fear the alternatives could be worse .. Rolling Eyes

I get most of my supplements and pure aloe gel form Forever Living , they have a great customer service and deliver to me ( usually a rather inaccessable area of the Scottish Highlands ) within 2 days. For the rest its a combo of Holland and Barrett,Tesco, and Boots!! Doesnt sound like I am very brand faithful does it Exclamation

Maybe vitacost has a warehouse or uses a German company/location as their distribution center for overseas shipments?

so glad I clicked onto this thread. I have thought about buying supplements online but I was iffy about since there are so many fake things online! I will definitely look into purchasing from iherbs. I usually get my supplements from my local health food store. I also look out for coupons (ie. groupon, etc) for health food store sales. Supplements are expensive!

Vitaglo.com for various supplements, teas, organic spices, some skincare, & 4yourtype.com for specialized calcium & probiotics.

I've been ordering from Vitacost.com for several years. I live near Philadelphia, PA, in the USA. Their prices are wonderful and shipments are quick. I order specialized grocery items like Amy's soups and Eden Organics, as well as supplements. I place an order with them about every other week. Any time I have had a problem, their costumer service has promptly fixed it. My only complaint with them is that they go crazy with the bubble wrap, and I worry about the environmental impact. I have been saving all the bubble wrap for a local artist to recycle.

The multivitamins, I've bought it in a drugstore (with prescription) and for the calcium supplement, i've purchased it through online in maxalife. It's my first time to purchase through online on that time. In terms with shipping, it's free as long you will meet their minimum price target. Overall okay! Maybe the next supplement that i will be going to buy is through online again..
