Loribar, I am glad your vacation was great. At least, it sounded great!
Got my drops. Will probably start on Easter, since that seems like a good "gorge" day. I'm a little nervous, though! I will keep everyone posted. I think the hardest thing to give up, for me, will be the cream in my coffee! It's tea for me, at least for the next 3 weeks. Angel

[quote]The hcg drops are sold all over the Internet. How do you know they're the real thing?

The hcg drops aren't the real thing. They're homeopathic and not the actual RX drug. You can use hcg under the tongue in liquid form but you have to mix the drug form of hcg with a sterile water solution.

I'm trying to lose about 8lbs before summer and I've been trying the hcg on a whim. All the stuff about the special diet and no skin lotions with oil, ect just seems ridiculous to me. The hcg does have an appetite suppressant effect though IMO.

lagamorph, did you by chance read Dr. Simeon's original text on the diet. He is the Italian doctor that perfected this diet over 30 years in an obesity clinic in Rome. It helps shed some light on all those "ridiculous" rules. I used my normal skincare routine except for my body lotion...I did use an hcg approved lotion during the 1st phase. I don't think it affected my weight loss in any way. But, I do understand the reasons behind the rules after reading Dr. Simeon's manuscript.

As far as the authenticity of the drops..I worry about that as well. I think if you are ravenous and weak even after a dose...you don't have the real thing. Dr. Simeon also talked about without the hcg in your system, you would burn normal fat instead of abnormal fat stores. So in the past when the first place I would lose weight was in my face and breasts, that didn't happen with this diet. I lost in the places I needed to and my face and breasts stayed about the same. That was a big surprise for me and pretty convincing. I've never been this low of a weight without my face looking gaunt and people telling me I was too thin...not so this time!!

Maintenance is heaven! I have maintained my weight and I don't feel deprived in any way. I start adding carbs back in on Friday...so the real test begins!

Honestly, I read online a bit about the diet and couldn't get past the whole not combining vegetables part Smile I'll look into further but right now I tend to think IMHO the hcg would work with any type of diet.

you can get it from overseas pharmacies (alldaychemist, ect, but some of these places have had issues with credit card fraud, something to be aware of)

Online some drs do prescribe and supply it. Pricey but probably the safest and easiest way to get it. Also, "research chemical" companies sometimes have it. The same places that sell the tanning peptide, melatanon something or other (not sure of the exact spelling) often carry hcg. I don't want to list the websites online but pm me if you need a research chemical website.

Kdd2411, have you at least considered trying the homeopathic drops before you spend major dollars and all the hassle and inconvenience of buying injectable hcg online??

I lost 17 lbs with the drops in 21 days..I've been eating normally now for a few months and have maintained my weight loss.

I'm just saying the drops worked great for me. If I ever need to lose weight again, this would be the first place I would turn.

Can you tell me where you purchased the drops? I read online people said the drops weren't as effective which is why I didn't consider them. Did you follow the diet while taking the drops?

You don't have to do injections with hcg. It can be mixed with saline wound wash and used under the tongue. It's a bit of a hassle, takes 10 to 15 minutes I think to absorb into the bloodstream that way. (saline wound wash is available in any drugstore)

I bought mine from fatforenergy.com for $29.95. They had excellent support info and Dr. Simeon's actual manuscript which I think is a must read. I did follow the diet pretty religiously.

I think they are worth a shot, no pun intended Very Happy, before injections. It worked for me!

I'm using the prescription injections just on and off now to maintain my ideal weight. I don't know how it works or if it's safe but it does work for me and I'm pretty immune to placebo effects.

I have the metabolism of a tree sloth and have only stayed at a good weight over the years by eating a low calorie dense diet and aerobics. It takes about 2 days for the appetite suppression to kick in w/the shots but once it does I have very little appetite. I don't follow the special hcg diet at all.

Offhand, maybe 50 to 80 dollars for 30 days worth of hcg and bacteriostatic water and diabetic syringes? Closer to 50 than 80 but I'll have to add it up and get back to you. I'm just ordering it myself online so location (Oregon) doesn't factor into the cost for me.

5000 iu of hcg is about 30 days worth depending on what dose you take. I usually get it for about 58 dollars including shipping but there is usually a code for 20 or 30 percent off when I order. Supply kits (needles, b water, ect) for 45 days are about 27 dollars on amazon, shipping included. I haven't ordered hcg from overseas/not sure what alldaychemist ect charges.
