I heard that Chad Michael Murray wasn't allowed to go to his fiancee's prom because he's too old. Maybe he should take that as a sign???
And yes, Jessica Simpson's boobs are just out of control in that dress!! Which reminds me, since I've got all you ladies here.... who do you think was more responsible for Nick and Jessica breaking up? |

I heard the same thing about Chad!  I don't know why he's so into getting married to every girl he dates...especially since it seems like he couldn't keep from cheating on his first wife, and they were only married for a few months!
As for the Nick and Jessica thing…it was weird because (if I remember correctly) when their marriage problems first started getting press, Nick was painted as the guilty party (supposedly he got friendly with a stripper at a bachelor party…but it’s not like he was Charlie Sheen doing his Dial-A-Hooker thing!) I dunno…Nick may have done some over-the-top flirting and perhaps inappropriate grabbing, but for some reason I don’t really think he actually cheated on her. It seems like after Jess got all kinds of attention for her Daisy Duke movie role, it really went to her head…and I do kind of believe the rumors that she fooled around with her Dukes co-stars. Johnny Knoxville’s sidekick Bam Margera supposedly slept with her, too…and his dad Phil went on the radio and said that his son told him it actually happened. Then the Simpson spin control went into overdrive and Bam said his dad was an “idiot” and he never claimed to have slept with Jessica. But why would his dad lie?
Anyhoo…it seems like when they got married, Nick was the famous one and she looked up to him. Then her career took off, as did her ego, and I think she started to wonder what she had missed by getting married so early and never experiencing being with any other guy. Just my perception, but he seemed more interested in staying married and working it out than she did. Granted, he’s got an album to promote so I’m sure he figures there’s no harm in looking like the “good guy who was wronged by his cheating wifey…”

| Who really knows.. but I think it was Jessica.. UNLESS the stripper scandal was true.. than yeah she should have left him. But when I used to watch their show, he really seemed like a great guy. She seemed a little difficult at times... Of course we never got to see any of their real problems so who's to say? |

PhoebesMeow, I agree...he did seem like a good guy on the show (so maybe that's why I'm not 100% convinced he was out chasing other women and/or strippers). She did seem to be spoiled and a bit difficult to live with...so perhaps that's why I'm more inclined to believe she'd just throw in the towel when the honeymoon phase wore off.
Then again, like you said, we weren't there to witness all the real problems in their marriage...so who knows? And "reality" shows are notorious for using editing to paint someone a certain way...

Yen...about the whole Tori thing...oy vey. It's one thing that they were married to other people when they met (pretty standard issue for Hollywood hookups, I guess)...but this guy promptly went out and got her face tattooed on his arm (think Tom Arnold with Roseanne's mug on his chest...and where are they now?)! Nothing at all against tattoos, but it does seem to be some bizarre celebrity curse that as soon as the couple starts inking their names/faces all over their bodies, a breakup is almost inevitable. I think Chad Michael Murray really needs to give the serial nuptial thing a rest. Like you said, he's only 24 with one divorce under his belt and now he can't just date this new chick (who is barely legal)? He has to run to the altar AGAIN? I also read that he was banned from her prom because the principal said that "no one over 21 is allowed."

That was what I thought at first about the whole tattoo thing. Remember Johnny Depp and that "Winona Forever"? (although Johnny was so not a home wrecker).
I never knew that Chad was banned from the prom? hahaha Oh yeah...there was a rumour circulating that she was pregnant hence the quick engagement. |

Now on to Nick & Jessica. They don't have a pre-nup and it's getting nasty. Jessica's dad Joe advised her not to get a pre-nup cuz Nick was making more money at the time they got married. Now they're trying to get the court not to award Nick spousal support. I would normally be against a guy seeking spousal support but that Jessica is just too annoying and selfish. I think Nick to get a chunk of her earnings to bring her back down to earth.
The whole breakup thing...I think it's Jessica and her dad. Her dad never liked the idea that she got married so early and believed that she had more appeal solo than with Nick. Crazy family. Her sister is annoying too. |

Oh yeah...Winona Forever...I remember that! Too funny that he got the tattoo changed to read "Wino Forever" after they split up! But I love Johnny Depp...gorgeous, and seems like a sweet guy whose very devoted to his family (girlfriend and 2 kids).
I think you're right about Jessica's dad causing problems...he always seemed to be meddling in some way or another. But I had no idea he told her not to get a prenup because Nick was making more money at the time they got married! That whole family really is wacky...and Ashlee bugs me, too!!

I like Johnny Depp too. He was engaged like four times before he met Vanessa Paradis. Reporters keep asking him why they haven't gotten married. His response was that he didn't want to ruin her name.
Back to Jessica & Nick, I'm pretty sure that her dad was the one that told her to end things with Nick. You know Jessica, aside from shopping, she needs her dad to make all her decisions.

| Me too. A lot of people thought Heather was a gold digger but she apparently asked Paul for a pre-nup but he turned her down. They've been up together for 4 years and she could get up to 1/4 of his 1.5 billion dollar fortune. (I read it from the People's Magazine website) |

Man I was out of town when this thread got started. This is so my thing!
Ok so Ia m late. carekate, I'm with ya on the whole tomkat thing. I could not figure out why this was a pub stunt, for their movies last summer? nahhh... There have been rumours for years about Tom at least being bi and apparently last year he was caught with Rob Thomas by HIS WIFE! Tom's pub machine kicked into gear! They has a list of ladies to hook up with tom and Katie was down the list. I mean c'mon, HOW COULD THESE TWO MEET? You really think he was a real Dawson's Creek fan and HAD TO HAVE THAT GIRL? Don't think so. Even her CLOSE friends had no idea when he came into her life and all of a sudden, they are EVERYWHERE and SO IN LOVE. It was very sudden. So theory goes: There was an "arrangement" made and she was required certain things and she would be compensated. Don't you think it was odd how she got pg only like 2-3 months after they met and were not even married? They (tom's pub machine) were desparate to dispell the gay-bi rumours. Tom conceives a child, very macho. Why didn't he do that with Nicole? They only adopted. Even Mimi Rogers (first wife) publically said they had no sex life. But speaking of Nicole, she had always complained about him being so incredibly PRIVATE. Oprah had said he was PRIVATE. he was always known for being PRIVATE. And all of a sudden his life is an open book and we get to follow them to the Eifel Tower and pratically witness the proposal??
And so that explains Katie's way of sounding like she was always reading a "script". Everything was always "....Amazing" (barf)
Anyway, it is a theory.

Wenrwdy, I totally believe that he was given a list of potential hook-ups! I heard that Scarlett Johanssen was on the list and met with him thinking it was about a movie. But she arrived at their meeting to find a bunch of his Scientology advisers/handlers there with him, wanting to talk to her about the church. Rumor is that she just turned around and walked out. Too bad Katie didn't do the same!
I was also shocked about the McCartney split...they seemed really happy (even though his kids reportedly didn't like Heather very much), but I guess you never know!

Me, too! I really liked Linda and was so impressed by his devotion to her. He really seemed to be a one-woman guy, which is a rarity among rock stars! I had really hoped he'd find happiness with Heather, since he was so heartbroken when Linda passed on...

on our celeb thang...
has anybody noticed how absolutly horrid Brittney Spears is looking recently? I mean not just since she has the second bub on the way, but virtually since she got pregnant the first time.
She really seems to have totally gone to seed (if that is at all possible when you are not even 25) .. she looks haggard, and dare I say, not even as good as your average girl on the street.
Granted her face is all puffy and bloated but it just looks like she has no make-up or anything on, even in event photos. Anyone else noticed that? |
