Very gentle. I usually use is as a cleanser in the morning and make-up remover at night. |

I purchased cetaphil, and stopped using it when I realized there were lots of chemicals. I would highly recommend Dr. Bronner's Extra Mild Castile soap. I have rosacea, and it does not bother it. Everyone in the family uses it, it cleans well but does not dry the skin. |

I think the dermatologist recommended because of its mildness.but i saw it contains alcohol,it made me can not open my eyes because of its irritative smell. I think i will never buy it again.... |

I think Aquanil Cleanser is a better choice for oil skin.Because of SLS,it's clean ability is much better. |

I do not like this cleanser....
I purchased a 500ml bottle from HK. The price was impressive-about 13 USD. But this cleanser is too gentle to remove my makeup.
But it's really very very easy to be washed off.
Besides, each time I should use a large amount, because it do not generate any bubble. |
Cetaphil is gentle for makeup removal so I use Cetaphil and Clarisonic together. Also the Clarisonic Cleanser is expensive than Cetaphil so I replaced itwith Cetaphil. They work great together. |

I love Cetaphil also.
When I want to really deep clean my pores, I just add a tsp of white cornmeal to a squirt of Cetaphil, apply to nice warm/moist face, and use a face brush for a few minutes. (Not for those with very dry skin.)
For occassional toning, nothing beats a few drops of apple cider vinegar in a bit of water.. |
Love the cornmeal idea! Anything added to Cetaphil is a bonus IMO. It's as boring as they come. I like my cleansers to be a mild form of entertainment. |

Good ol' Cetaphil! Haven't heard about it in a long time. I used to use it when I was a teen (nice and gentle on my pimply skin!), but I remembered it smelled like white paste glue! |

It also looks like glue and has the consistency of liquidy glue. Really gross... |

I used to use the oil free version and it was fine. Not amazing, but it got the job done, and did not bother my sensitive skin. |

Sorry, it's crap! It doesn't remove sunscreen or makeup; prove it to yourself by running a Salux cloth over your face after you have used it. But the Cetaphil bar soap is just fine, if a little drying. |

I am one of those who don't like (hate) it (I mean the gentle one). In my opinion, it doesn't do its job (which is cleansing) but left my skin very dry. I don't think it is gentle at all. |

This cleanser is so cheap and was supposed to could remove light makeup. But I tried it for almost 500ml, and eventually found that it can not even clean my face deeply, not to say remove the makeup! |
