Penta, be careful what you wish for....he is very HOT! And then I wake up when I can't breathe because he stretches his legs over my face so that he can knead my cheek, lol. No wonder I have insomnia!
Four of my current 6 have been very sick (diabetes, bladder crystals, plus all of Bacardi and Onyx's very pricey issues)...2009 and 2010 were both "the Year of Vet Bills" for me. Let's hope 2011 is better! |

Speaking of health issues, do you have pet insurance? Can you recommend one? I just moved here from the UK so I have no idea which ones are good.
I wouldn't mind a litte cute hot face next to mine, it's the breath that would probably keep me up all night |

Congrats on your new furbabies! The the one that's black as such a sad face! The white one is too cute too! I've been away from home so I haven't been able to post any of my cat yet. |

Pet odor. I live in Australia and have found a product called Nil odor extremely effective. It is a concentrated disinfectant. I put a few drops in the rinse cycle when I;m washing the dogs blankets and toys and sprinkle a few drops in the bottom of the cats litter trays.
Work really well. I have only found it at Coles supermarkets. |

CHIHUAHUAS IN DINGIES AT LIZARD ISLAND!!
Lulu and DH's fat gut!
Two ship-mates
The little one on the right was a rescue dog. He had been abused and all his teeth were rotten and had to be removed - so his little tongue hangs out the side of his mouth, so cute! I met these doggies' Mum at Lizard Island - they were also staying on a boat so were great company for Lulu. |

Bethany! I miss you and your lovely fur babies! I hope whatever you're doing you and your fur babies are doing well!
This is my fur baby
This is my big kitty named "boy". My cat Aly had him so I've had him ever since he was born. I remember when he was so little he could fit into my hand. He is 12 years old and enjoys eating party mix.
He is seen there holding his string which he loves to play with. |

I myself and I'm sure everyone else who just loves their animals totally understands this sentiment. They just bring us so much joy are an incredible enjoyment and love us unconditionally.
He looks like an absolute sweetheart!! |

Aww, I've only just found this thread and what cute pets!
I am a big fan of cats, I have two of my own. Cleo and Bailey, they are just over 4 years old and I've had them since 12 weeks old. They are both from the same litter and are Blue Colorpoint Ragdolls. I adore them! but they can be hard work.
Although I adore ALL animals, there are no more on the menu for me for a lonnnng time. I've had so many pets as a child up until about 4 years ago that I'm going to have a break lol. My two kitties are definitely enough for me <3 |

All the fur-babies are adorable.
I am so impressed with Delaney!
He looks like a puppy - young and full of joy and vigor! Truly remarkable for a 17 year old dog. Is he on a special diet or do you do anything special to keep him in such great shape?
Thanks! |

Thanks Toby and Sigma!
@Toby Yep, Delaney has the heart murmur issue. His is grade 2 (functional). So for now, we just need to keep annual checks.
@Sigma I do give him a pain prescriptive for his arthritis. His right front leg has really bowed out from 17 years of hopping. I feed him beef and chicken livers and his Vet said he has the hemoglobin count of an athlete! |

Pleiades,
do you give him raw meat/liver or do you cook it?
Sorry to bother you, but I am not asking out of idle curiosity. I have the most adorable lovable hug-gable Airedale that will be 7 this December. We always make him home cooked meals (oatmeal with cooked chicken) + raw vegetables + some fruits ; but lately I have encountered a lot of talk about raw meat diet for dogs.
TIA |

pleiades - He's gorgeous and looks so full of fun and energy! If he didn't have the whitening of his fur, I'd never have guessed his age from the photos as he seems so puppyish! |

@Sigma Your Airedale sounds gorgeous! No bother at all, I love talking about Delaney. I do cook his liver, but have thought about the raw diet. I will have to try your idea with oatmeal and chicken combo.
@Keliu Thank you for posting the link. Very interesting!
@MajorB Aw, thank you! He's always been a little scrapper. |
