So my latest pic is the first one, the other is 1 year old. I had lost weight before that. So no weight loss lately. Minor diet change, I do not eat dairy and wheat but eat rice, potatoes, any other starch and tons of meat, so no weight loss. I was facial exercising at the time of the before pic, the only difference in my routine is tanaka, and some supplements, but they do not make you look thin faced I take it. As the matter of fact I need some more weight on my face, so I am not sure I am happy about this change. But addicted because of NL folds especially.

I'd love to see Critics before and after pictures- which page of this thread are they posted to?

This is a good reminder for me to keep up the program- really love how fresh my face looks immediately. Even if there is no long term improvement for me, thats enough.

This thread having reminded me, I just did the massage from the videos. As usual, I feel so sleepy! Does this make anyone else sleepy? And, no matter how much exertion I use, its never painful- is this OK?

Cooking Katy,
I cannot find the massage cream from La Colline site. The one I am using is Salon formula, only use / available in Spa. The name is "La Colline Cellular Facial Massage". 200ml for USD70. I bought it from La Colline distributor.

it should not be painful, you should feel kind of ache but comfortable and relaxing.

Well I have been doing the massage twice daily for the past week (i think its been that long i am losing track) and I still have no idea if I am doing it correctly. I have to hope that as long as when I am making the movements right before the ear down to the collar bone in line and not pushing towards my face, that thing would be good...I feel achy a bit in my cheek crease like the nasolabial fold area from pressing up...but other than that its a pretty quick and gentle massage. I am also doing some cheek exercises that I found online..facial yoga, and i assume its similiar to the other programs on here, so I am just starting with this and it takes me about 20 minutes total for everything...I am not sure if I should lose a couple pounds too, but then I will not know if the changes are from that or not...i am already at my lowest weight in two years so I am seeing a slight facial change with that.
I hope this works bc I realllllly have some cheeks on me. I am sick of everyone telling me that my daughters big chubby toddler face is identical to mine! excuse me but she can get away with it, I CANNOT!!!

I also want to ask if it's normal to experience a bit of soreness in one of my cheeks (under) that went away after 15 minutes? Am I applying too much pressure?

I've only done it once Smile
I love that it cleared my sinuses and immediately my hollowness looked better!!! but then it came back Smile I know, it takes patience!

Are you pushing the cheekbone with all your might? The soreness won't last for that long.

Again be careful about doing too much too soon. Facial yoga, and Tanaka will deliver results but you got to be patient. Trying Ageless on top of that and your simply going to get some strange changes and you wont be able to work out which thing it is thats caused it. Give them time to work, and watch your face for changes and they will come. Otherwise go for the surgery.

Margaret, sometimes I apply alot of pressure and it feels as though my face has hit a wall!
I don't know if you've read Louise Annette's Ageless if you Dare but her download gave me the confidence to handle my skin so I have no fear of pulling and pushing my face and so working within the guidelines of the Tanaka Massage (there is a right and wrong way; it was only until I read the English translation that I fully understood how to do it), the massage can give you a good 'workout' feeling.
One thing though re. the soreness, make sure you're using good lubrication otherwise you can make your skin sore.

No, not that strong. I was careful but I did apply some pressure. The soreness did go away after 15 minutes for that side.

Thanks for the nice remarks.
BTW I try do it with very strong pressure. I try to push my bones back where they used to be when I was 9Smile. Although I have no idea where they belong.

Thank you This is Miranda for your explanation. I grew with the idea of not touching one's face because it develops wrinkles, so I'm not used to handle it this way. The feeling went away soon after, I woke up less clogged from my nose .. ahhhh... I can breath and did the routine this morning with lots of cream. It's been an hour and no soreness!!!

No Sycamore, thanks to you for sharing those lovely pictures!

You can't imagine what they meant to me when I saw them yesterday. You see, I've had plastic surgery and the results do not last or it is not what you expect, or they are not perfect.
When I saw your pictures, I said this is what face exercises meant to be. Your face in the second picture looks congested (in the eye area). You have a beautiful face, btw and in the first picture, everything is all tight! You look you are 10 or 15 years younger!!! It was like an epiphany to me.

I just have a little question for you, do you use any gadget? tua viso or LED? I want to try it too!!! Laughing

Well, let me try to show you some results I had with Tanaka.
I created a Photobucket album with 2 pairs of photos. The first 2 photos are made under the most unflattering light conditions. I make horribly severe faces in the first pictures, because I believe that is how I can check my development. In the second two pictures I smile, so I hope I look better. I changed my hair-color, it may be distracting.

I'm new to this forum, but incredibly encouraged by your results. Started incorporating Tanaka into my routine about 5 months ago. My lips are fuller and more defined, the hollows underneath my eyes have filled in and my cheeks are lifted. I'm not sure I understand how it works, but I'm a believer!

Hi all,
Let me come out of the closet. This is a very good picture. I have much worse ones. But I am vain and do not want to post bad pictures anymore Very Happy.
And also I realized that brutally taken pics that show you from the worst angle are not honest either. The truth is somewhere in between the two approaches. Anyway, Tanaka improved my looks, that is for sure. About 20 people commented on my better looks in the last 3 weeks. It never ever happened before.

Apart from Tanaka and Ageless I changed some things. I dry brush. That is great for a whiter, cleaner complexion. I also take supplements. Especially Hyaluronic Acid made a difference. Being a heavy smoker I needed the replacement badly. Not everyone may have the same results taking HA. It is good for smokers.

The third most important thing is that I do not consume dairy and wheat. It cleared my under eye area to certain extent.

Sycamore & Chanelle,

I am happy for you seeing result!

I send my recent photo to a girl-friend, she is the one who begged me teach her how to do the Tanaka massage. She said I look like a teenager, of course it's not true but still happy to know. My friend also send me 3 of her close-up photos, she has started the Tanaka in February, she looks so much better now, her double chin has vanished, face shape has changed and eyes are bigger, skin has brighten up. Her result is very obvious. Happy for her!

Thank you critic for introducing this massage to the forum!

Critic, just want to add my thanks. I believe your recommendation of Tanaka made it over to the SkinCareTalk forum, which is where I first saw it several months ago. I've been pretty much telling all my friends and family about Tanaka. I think it's revolutionary, and I have NO QUESTION that it is what has made the dramatic improvement in my skin!!

I would like to share but not boasting : I had lunch with 2 clients (women), they would like me to refer speakers to their CEO workshops. I went to bathroom after my order, when I was back to table, I can tell that they were guessing my age. They thought I am 27, 28, no more than 30. Their mouth were wide opened when I told them I am 43. One of them even have a close look at my skin. As you can imagine, the whole discussion has switched to how do I stay young. They are very impressed and ask me to speak to their female CEOs. That's my favorite topic and I never deliver a speech about 'non-business' to the a group. The best part is : they will USD750 for speech & workshop (3 hours) and so.... my workshop will be demo the "Tanaka massage'.

Dear forum members,

I have started the Tanaka massage three days ago. My primary concerns are the nasal labial folds and the sagging lower face. While doing the facial massage I applied a moderate amount of pomegranate seed oil and a German cream named "celerit plus". On the second day of the massage, I felt a burning on my face with some redness and dryness. On the third day the skin becomes flaky and more dry resembling a sun-burn. This is bizarre since I have an oily skin and do not suffer from such conditions.

Another peculiarity, however, is that the nasal fold line on my right cheek seems to fade, although the one on the left remains intact.

I am curious now; has anyone experienced such dryness? Do you think it might be the massage, and/or the oil causing the burning effect? Should I continue the massage considering the fact that it has had a positive impact on the line in the right part of my face even in three days?

btw; English is not my primary language, sorry for possible grammatical/language mistakes.
