Thanks for the reply, Renata, and thank you for outlining your routine. It definitely helps people decide whether to try a product/products when they have all the info! I hope you will post updates on your experience with the Reluma! |
Riley I now forget what all are you using with RL? And hows the red/dry patch? I had that on my elbow once, it took years to go away.
Karen, perhaps you can start a lash thread, I know I am interested in your results, as well as DM's. I assume other lash ladies would be too. Oh and just so you don't feel you have to post results in skincare forum and this one, ones for the science (skincare forum) and this one is for the reviews. Sorry just read your post on having to post on both. |
packratmack also is using the lash serum as I recall she mentioned on another thread, she was happy with results but was waiting for a review thread on it. |

Tiny, I honestly am not comfortable mixing the lines. I am just hesitant (and this is just me personally) to use too many of these type of products together, whether it be Reluma with AA, Reluma with Lifeline, etc. (Adding in an A or C product, I don't see any problem with, and I am talking strictly about mixing the conditioned media products.) |

So I am back from my trip, and tried the RL again on my hand....it still stinks. But to Tiny's point the odor did dissipate fairly quickly.
Now I am going to see if I can tough it out on my face this evening. |

Just food for thought Beth... I received an order for a bunch of products yesterday, and the most perishable amongst the oils were rancid. (The expiration dates were 2013 and 2014).. It's the bloody Florida heat and 160 degree heat inside delivery trucks for days that are the culprit. I also ordered 1 lb of cocoa butter wafers, that melted into one big blob.. The oils that didn't make it smell like a combination of linseed oil/oil paints + play doh... ICK!
I'm not ordering another thing until October. |

How did it go?
I would honestly return your product, anything that makes you cringe at the thought of applying, is not good. I could never put anything on that made me disgusted. Unless of course they swore I'd look 21 in the morning, then perhaps!
It could be a bad product or your nose just hates something in it, my guess is bad product, either way not worth using. |

Kassy, you may have a point there! The bad news is that I can't return it for a refund...just for a replacement.
Tiny, I am holding off until Riley sends me some of hers to smell...then I will do a side by side sniff test. But if Kassy is right, that may stink too when I finally get it! |

well don't most of these products have preservatives in them, which would then stop them turning bad, essential oils do not have that and do turn bad, even in ones own cabinet, if its hot? Although I have some that are well over ten years old and still fine.
It could be bad or just very disagreeable with you, but I'd think more of us would be experiencing the same, if not bad. Did your neighbor smell it? |

Just got an email regarding a sale at TIA, well blow my skirt up, her prices for RL trio are now $225.00, so from $179.00 to $225.00 kind of a huge jump there!
Cell vitals offers the duo, 1.7 ounce cream and .70 serum for $185.00 on amazon, $195.00 on their site. Also you can return with them within 14 days. Not sure why TIA does NOT accept returns, but it seems Cell vitals does. |

Ok I put this back on this morning and was shocked at the firming I get from this product, I guess I got use to it. Having taken a week off, its like using it for first time again. Very firming! Still bummed at tia for going up on prices and not accepting returns, so will be hunting sales! |

Okay, I have just finished the serum from my trio, and I have to say, I'm relieved. Using this brand was not a pleasant experience, I'm glad it's over.
Def. no reorder for me! |

definately shouldn't use anything that is "a bad experience", don't think I'd finish up anything that was like that, hope LL works better for you. |

Bad news...they smell identical (as in equally stinky).
So that means that I am just hyper-sensitive to the smell and can't use it, darn it. I have similar issues with sandalwood and other scents, so this is not totally unusual for me.
Oh well...on to other options, sigh. |

Well, that stinks! LOL, sorry.
On to other options for me, as well, I am afraid. I haven't seen anything as far as improvement in the skin (other than my eczema patch), but I have seen some lovely hair sprout along each side of my face. |

well that freaks me, seems with all of these some have had hair issues, just fantastic!
Bethany sry, I do understand not being able to use stuff due to smell, I can't tolerate perfumey products much at all. |

I don't believe mine was off. The smell is apparent as I apply the serum, and lasts for about half a minute or so. A bit like Skinceiticals CE Ferulics which has a smell likened by some to hot dogs.
I don't think it's off, I just don't like the smell and that's important to me - my skin care is "me time" and I want to feel pampered, not disgusted.
On another note - I had also ordered the Reluma lash serum when I ordered the trio and in the past 2 days my lashes have suddenly "popped" - I wiped my eye yesterday and could feel my lashes were longer! So the keepers from this range are the cleanser and eyelash serum for me. |
Hope this helps Debb she and Bethany have a huge aversion to the smell of the serum.
I completely understand not being able to use something due to the smell and having taken a week off and reusing today, there is a "slight" (to me) smell but it goes away almost as fast as I notice it. So this one does not bother me, but even some neutrogena products have been washed off my face due to perfume in them. |

Are we talking peach fuzz, downy stuff or (gasp!) worse? I'm prone to facial hair ( my chin is getting scary). I didn't notice much difference in growth with AA except maybe peach fuzz on one side of my face (weird). Then again, I could of had it all along and never noticed. I only checked when others were mentioning facial hair and only after I applied foundation. |

My chin is in dire need of electrolysis. I remember as a child seeing my great aunt when she was near death. She was over 100 with a goatee. I think the beard scarred me for life. |

We are talking peach fuzz here, but a little darker than the normal, if that makes sense? I actually noticed the same thing with AA and thought I was just seeing things, but then I started noticing it again with the Reluma, and I don't think I am crazy. I have it darker on 1 side of my face than the other, but there is definitely more hair. I guess that may actually be a good sign that both of the products work? I had the same thing with the GHK, which is why I stopped using it. |

Tiny, I just replied to marina, but I think the hair growth may be a good sign with these type of products? I don't want to deal with extra hair on my face (even if it is just along the sides!), but in my mind I am thinking that maybe that shows they work. |

Hi Debb
As mentioned, I did not like the smell, to me it was like rubbing something dead on my face. I did not like the stickiness - the serum dried to a tacky finish really quickly, making it hard to spread over my face. The stickiness resulted in my pores becoming clogged after a week or so. The cream did not sink in either, it sort of smeared around my face and I had to really work it in to dissipate the smears. For that much money I want my cosmetics to feel like a little bit of luxury. I like the idea of stem cells, so I will be sticking with Lifeline which I have tried and preferred over Reluma - the LL serum is non-sticky, non-smelly and sinks right in.

I still don't get how it can be sticky for one and not another. I hate sticky serums more than stinky ones. Just wondering, for those that have used TNS, did you also find that sticky. I've not tried Reluma, but the texture seems similar from what I've read so far. |
