Has anyone heard about, or tried Thermage? I saw a woman on Oprah and have seen a brochure with pictures that look pretty good. Of course ALL before and after pictures look wonderful, the bad ones are tossed naturally. My lower face, particularly below my lips and jawline could really use some firming. I do love the ES mask which I had forgotten about for a while but now am trying to keep it up. Nothing else seemed to really make a difference. What say you ladies with "mature skin?" (Good to be back!) |

The guy I go to for laser hair removal is actually a trainer and sales rep/dealer for laser equipment and I asked him about Thermage for my mom. He said it works great on some people and others it does nothing.
He has a machine called Fraxel which yeilds really great results for firming, smoothing wrinkles, skin discoloration and the like.
The only downside is the cost. He said in the Dr.s office it could cost as much as $1000.USD per treatment. Depending on your condition it could take 3 or 4 treatments. |

I've heard of Fraxel but I thought it was mostly for skin discoloration, sun damage, etc. It firms too? I know the cost for both is really high but I heard that Thermage can last 2 years or more. I've never seen anyone who has had either. I'd like to see some results "in the flesh," not just pictures of their best results. |

I hear ya! and totally agree. Maybe someone who's had it done will post a response and some photos.
... Wishful thinking, I know. |
