Has anyone tried this? Any thoughts/opinions?
here's the website:
http://www.myzeno.com
I'm curious to know how well it works... if it would be worth the money. At least it has a 30 day money back guarantee... |

My med spa sells it and says it really does work. You apply the heat 2-3 times a day and in 24 hrs the pimple is gone. I had thought about buying it for my son but didn't think he would be diligent enough with it. Still on the fence. Would love to hear some feedback on it. |

I have a few friends who have bought it, and none of them say it worked. also the refills are apparently quite expensive. |

Bought it. Tried it. Jury is still out. It says you can only use it on cystic acne. Prior to buying it, I was getting one or two new cystic bumps every other week. Since I purchased it, no new cystic bumps. Nothing. Maybe the cystic got scared when it found out I purchased a Zeno.
I'll leave a post when I have a real pimple I can try it on. |

Interesting... Where did you find this information? In the information that came with the device? Or on the Zeno website?

Yeah, it's like those little pesky buggers have little brains and plot against you! They " " as they ruin part of your life and depress you...
I looked on their website and they say that "Zeno skin treatment is proven effective in treatment of adult acne." Can the device tell the difference? I.e., is there a difference in adolescent and adult acne bacteria?

That's too bad . Do you know what type of acne lesions did they have when they tried it?

Since I had a little but more time I looked at Zeno's website's explanation of acne. I never heard before that "The bacterium P. acnes is normally present in all skin types as part of the skin's sebum maintenance system. In a hair follicle, P. acnes produces enzymes that break down sebum creating a balance of oil in the skin. However, a clogged follicle creates an ideal environment for this sebum-eating skin bacterium to multiply. Consequently, the increase of P. acnes and its enzymes irritates and inflames the skin resulting in acne." (http://www.myzeno.com/aboutacne.htm)
And how can "most topical acne medications [be] formulated for teenaged skin"? (http://www.myzeno.com/aboutacne.htm) This brings me again to the question, what is the difference between acne bacteria in adolescent and adult skin? Anyone happen to know?
And what's up with this gal who appears in many skin care product ads? NO OFFENSE TO HER! I just think that the marketing departments of the companies who use this particular image should do a little more research on how much a particular stock photograph is used within the skin care industry. In my opinion, it effects the believability of a product. I mean, how can this one woman use all of these products at once? |

This device is the only one approved by the FDA for specific treatment of acne. I think they have a link on their site to the clinical data as well. That said, I haven't tried it myself. |
