With the cdn $ on the rise, shopping from u.s is no longer as traumatic for us cdn girls-I've even ordered from saks on occasion & didn't flich when the total hit m visa.
With sephora, something interesting is happening. Products that are available at the TO sephora are quoted at a set cdn dollar price-it must have been set a while ago. Thus, my favorite Fred. Fekkai glossing crm. which retails $25 u.s is $36.00 cdn. With oscar Blandi, which is not available in TO,an 8oz. product that retails for $24. u.s. would cost me $28.00 cdn-the real exchange rate.
What all this boils down to-some things are better ordered in u.s. $$ & take the exchange rate. I don't think I can do this with sephora. But, if I had ordered the FF product from somewhere else in the states & paid cdn, it would have cost $29.cdn vs.$36.at sephora Everybody totally confused now??? |
