Assuming you have a tanned / darker complexion, I'd go with dark greens, dark reds, and browns. I use black, but sometimes I find it too harsh and smudge it.
But I think that reds, browns, and greens go so well with nearly black eyes. Makes them stand out.
Or even a dark purple.
Have fun with it! With dark eyes, your possibilities are almost endless. You're the artist. |

Hi, you can try light Lavender like colour, warm brown-pinkish colour, for some people blue is also good. Try to find colours that will bring some sparkles. Revlon and Chanel have many choices for a very dark eyes. |

I have always favoured the more plum colours ... but I'm not sure what they do for my eyes! I've just always preferred the plum shades over straight purple or brown etc.

Hi All
I have very dark brown eyes, and these guys are right. Purples, Plums, Browns, dark gold (to add a little lighter hues) and greens are great. I get compliments when I use these colors. |

Hi not-her,
If you are partial to navy blue ... there's no reason why you shouldn't use it.
I chose plum because I like plum. There was no other reason. Once I tried plum I liked how it looked ...
So, if I were you ... I'd try navy blue. If you like it, then stick with it. If you don't like it ... then at least you've tried it.
I quite liked the way navy blue looked on me ... but I preferred the plum ... it seemed to be more exciting in a way.
[Sad isn't it that I can refer to an eyeliner colour with the word "exciting"? ]
At any rate, navy blue might be the ideal colour for you!

How about a nice purple with blue undertones? MAC Fluidline in Non Conformist is like this. I'm sure there are lots of others, too. I think a deep dark navy looks nice on everyong. NARS Thunderball is really nice to line the eyes with--it's a deep dark blue black that makes the eyes look whiter. |
