I am a young 25 year old male and was wondering why is it easy to keep the body clear from acne and hard to keep the face clear from acne?
I have been using Dove Deep moisture body wash with a pouf for at least 10 years or so and it maintains my body especially my back (most problem areas for men) clean and clear. I dont really pay attention cause it doesnt give me problems.. Now when it comes to my face I have so much trouble keeping it clear.. WHY???
I know the face is different from the body and the face tends to need more special care. So i tried an approach where i use a sensitve cleanser like Murad Moisture Rich Cleanser, which is good, to wash my face with. Now i want to use the same cleanser but with a microdermabrasion cloth. Would this be too harsh to use everyday? I tried it a few times and dont know its hard to tell one minute its ok then when i continue using everyday it tends to make the pimples more redder.. I have blemishes which wont fade out..
Any thoughts or ideas on what should i do? Anybody ever use a cloth to exfoliate? Are there any little scrub pouf for the face thats not too harsh to use?
Thanks |

Hi
You know you should try using that Dove body wash and pouf on your face then! Only joking.
Personally I think exfoliators can do more harm then good, I think they can make an oily skin worse, eventually if used over a period of time they can bring spider veins to the surface and tear at the skin, IMO. If you want to use an exfoliator try a gentle one like the Dr Hauschka one (not my fave as I think it smells too much like beer, but very popular here), or Jurlique do a fab similar product (my choice) called Face Wash Cream. If you really want to deep cleanse then a mask would be good, something clay based maybe, Anthony Logistics do a good range for men.
Hope that helps. |

hahah FUnny...
well i checked out those two products you mentioned looks pretty good. I looked at the ingredients and both dont contain fragrance and salicylic acid which is bad for my skin. These are for everyday use right?
And for the one you use the face wash cream thats expensive... Do you only use that face cream or you use a toner with it? |

Both Dr H and Jurlique are kind to the skin with their ingredients. Yes the face wash is expensive on here, you may be able to get it cheaper elsewhere. |

I use to sell Epidermx, you can buy from Goldportbeauty.
Now I use many things like my old standby-Aloette enzyme peel, Olay's microdermbrasion 2 part system, lactic acid or glycolic. I never stick with one thing, too much of a cosmetic addict. |
