I used that line for about a year...I liked the enzyme cleanser (lots of people don't),Collagen moisturize SPF 15, and loved the herbal moisture treatment (blue bottle). I still use the herbal treatment. I found that skincare to be plain and simple and it was very reasonably priced. I never got out of this world results but the products don't claim to do anything except wash and moisturize.

I don't think there are any! Seriously, MB products were my first foray in to "prestige" skincare products. They were okay, but they didn't wow me. I was much more pleased when I graduated up to Decleor and Yonka....

I have only tried samples from this line and they were just ok EXCEPT for the Azulene Calming Mask. I had a tragic run-in with a pumpkin mask that within minutes turned my face into a flaming tomatoe. This mask took the sting right out and once it dried and I took it off alot of the redness had disappeared. By the next morning was all back to normal. I have ordered a full size of this to keep on hand for the next "experiance" I endeavour and need to be rescued.

Not many from the ones I've tried. The enzyme cleanser I'm really on the fence about - I like it for a while and then I decide that it's too synthetic and smells like shampoo.... I've got the silver powder and I can't say that I use that on a regular basis at all as it doesn't do much for me.

I've sampled a few of their products. The enzyme cleanser good, but I don't really care for the smell...kinda weird, can't explain it. I do love the silver powder. It does the trick for removing my blackheads. Very Happy I apply it to my T Zone area and wait about 10 mins. Then I remove the powder and gently press on the pores and out comes the gunk(sorry if gross) Embarassed I know your really not supposed to press on your skin but hey it helps get the crap out and I don't push too hard. This product does the trick for me, keep in mind I don't have alot of blackheads. I haven't tried any masks so I can't comment. HTH Smile

I like the calming mask too. It is great for windburn after a day of skiing.

oh... well, guess I wont need to spend any money trying these out. Laughing

The calming mask did sound nice though.. does it have a lot of "stuff" added into it? I like to use calming masks after microderm treatments..but hard to find ones without a lot of chemicals and stuff

Azulene Calming Mask

Calming and soothing to bring instant comfort to irritated skin. Azulene (Chamomile) lightly moisturizes and minimizes redness. Recommended for very sensitive skin or for those with rosacea.

Ingredients: PVP, Seamollient, Methylparaben, Protol, Castor Oil, Balsam Peru, Kaolin, Wheat Starch, Zinc Oxide, Quaternium-60, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Boric Acid, Polysorbate-80, Propylene Glycol, Azulene.

Good for these Skin Types:
All Types

I also seem to recall the pamphlet I received with the samples recommended this for 'post procedures' - all I know is it helped immediately.

Okay Tiger Tim... I might be in the minority here, but I absolutely, completely and whole heartedly LOVE Mario Badescu. I was a faithful Dermalogica user for many years, but I could never stop breaking out. My skin would always look red and irritated, but not anymore. I use the Enzyme Cleansing Gel (not the greatest smell, but leaves my skin clean and smooth), the Seaweed Cleansing Lotion (toner, and just fabulous), Control Cream as my moisturizer (thick consistency, but lightweight and non-greasy), Hyaluronic Eye Cream (super moisturizing), Healing and Soothing Mask (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!) and the Lip Wax (glossy and moisturizing) also the Glycolic Cleanser... the best one I have ever used. I'm serious here... I cannot say enough good things about this line. The prices are so reasonable and if you go online and fill out the skin care analysis... they will send you samples of the products they recommend and will also write up a detailed regimen for you to follow with the samples.
After having acne for 15 years and trying everything and just accepting I will always have "bad" skin, this has cleared me so considerably that I consider it my miracle treatment. I am still astonished that it has worked so well.
I'm sure this is probably much more than you needed to know Smile , but I just wanted you to give it a fair shake before you make up your mind.
HTH!
ali

Hi Ali, I am glad you are having success with these! (I was actually starting to wonder if anyone used these regularly Laughing )

I did actually fill out their questionnaire online once, but I never received anything. I guess because I live in Japan and they dont ship international.

If my skin problem was acne, then your comments might have swayed me to try a few, but I am really shocked at some of the ingredients in the mask that Candy listed. Wow, methylparaben as the 3rd ingredient?! (um, what on earth is PVP?) I thought this was supposed to be one of those "natural" kind of lines...

I might go try the sample thing agian and wait and see.

Thanks again!

Tiger,
I know... about the ingredients... they aren't super natural, but the ingredient lists on any of the products are pretty short so that means fewer things to irritate. I honestly would be skeptical too, but as they say the proof is in the puddin' and my skin is the proof! Very Happy

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t “Azulene” another word for “chamomile?” The reason I ask is because I dimly recall someone on MUA asking me to buy her the MB Azulene mask as part of a CP/swap and I remember checking the ingredients to see what made this girl covet it so and the only thing that stood out at me was “chamomile,” and I remember thinking it would be easy to make a homemade version of it... I never got around to it, but now I think I’m going to incorporate some “Azulene” in to my formula for a homemade Jurlique Deep Penetrating Mask variation – I was planning to leave out the Calendula so mayhap I’ll swap it for chamomile instead so thanks for the inspiration! Very Happy

I guess I answered my own question...

According towww.wikipedia.org:

“Azulene has a long history dating back to the 15th century as the azure-blue distillate obtained by steam distillation of Chamomile”

Kindly note that I'd inquired about opening a retail account with them, but they do not allow retailers to sell on websites.

Sorry, all! I tried!
