Hello Fio,
I love Phytomer products and have it to thank for my skin's healthy glow. After trying a sample of this Vegetal Exfoliant, I've purchased it in my first order from EDS. I heard good reviews of Phytomer's other exfoliant (Purifying Gommage Exfoliant) but decided on the Vegetal as I've tried it and liked the freshness it gave my skin when I removed the product. I can't wait to give it a good run.

Fio,
is this product one you rub off, like a sticky mask after it dries? Or is it a scrub? Or does it use enzymes?
I currently have Dermalogica's microfoliant --- I am not in "love" with it for some strange reason, and am looking for a replacement once it is gone.
This product may be promising!

Not sure about the Vegetal Peel but I have Phytomer Gommage Exfoliant and it's fab! That's the one that you have to wait to dry a bit and then you rub it off your face. I'd really like to know the exact difference between that and the Vegetal Peel though. Might ask for a sample when I place an order next.

The Vegetal Peel is a creamy formula, and doesn't dry to a sticky mask that peels off. It has an enzymatic action which removes dead skin cells without the mechanical action of a peel, so it's more gentle for sensitive skin. You leave it on for 5 minutes then remove it.
Mabsy, the Phytomer Gommage Exfoliant has granules in it, where as the Vegetal Peel doesn't, so I guess the only difference is that with the Gommage you use a circular scrubbing movement before you remove it.... just looking at the ingredients in the Gommage Exfoliant I think I will have to try this one-- I hope I get a sample.  Do you apply it on damp skin, or dry skin? Apparently the peeling is more intensive on dry skin.

Thanks for the clarification Summertimegirl. I use the Gommage exfoliant on dry skin (and love it!). The instructions on the Gommage said the same thing about making it more/less exfoliating by applying to dry/damn skin.
That reminds me, I might use it tonight |
