I've read a regimen that tells you to put benzoyl peroxide (such as neutrogena on the spot acne treatment) all over your face to get rid of acne and reveal a new smooth skin. Does it really work, cause i'm breaking out with cyst and i'm desperate to try anything that can get rid of my acne.I'm planning on dabbing tea tree oil, but also tempted to slathered my face with benzoyl peroxide, but still a bit scare what it will do to my face.

Yikes! I'd be curious to see the science of using it all over the face! I find benzoyl peroxide to be SUPER drying and I don't even use it on pimples because I find that it causes the area around the pimple to become so dry that it's irritated but the pimple, itself, still remains. I find that salycilic acid works much better on pimples (which I thought Neutrogena On-the-Spot treatment was...).

Maybe using benzoyl peroxide all over the face causes a "new face" because the original face peels off with dryness! Shock

Seriously, you have found the right place. There are wonderful folks here who will have a host of helpful recommendations. In the meantime, please don't put benzoyl peroxide all over your face.

If you're looking for an all-over face treatment, and you're not allergic to aspirin, an aspirin mask might be helpful. There are TONS of posts about it here showing many variations that a simple search would find.

GOOD LUCK!
