I just bought a vitamin C serum that doesnt come in a "dropper vile". Its a pump and the cover to the serum doesnt cover the tip of the pump if that makes sense what I just said. Do I need to be concerned about air getting into that little opening at the tip of the pump into the solution in the bottle?? Or should I always leave it in the box till I use it?? |

I don't think keeping it in the box will achieve much. Is the bottle one of those brown tinted bottles? I think the best you can do (short of transferring it to another bottle) is to make sure you keep it in a dark place. Which serum is that if you don't mind me asking? |

It's Kiehl's anti-wrinkle treatment with 10.5% ascorbic acid and the bottle is tinted brown.
I'm keeping it in its box inside the medicine cabinet at the moment. Should I maybe tape the tip of the pump and not use that and just unscrew the lid and place some on my finger when I use it? |

No, I think it's fine to use it as is, just do keep it in a dark place. You're doing all you can IMO to keep it stable. I'm looking forward to hearing what results you get with it and if you like it |

I have never done this before but my sister-in-law put her Vit-C in the frige. She's on her 2nd SkinCeutical C E Ferulic Serum. She told me from the very 1st drop to the very last one her Vit-C did not change color at all. |

Well hopefully my skin will like it because its kind of oily/greasy when you first put it on, but then once it sinks in it feels soft. It has a silicone in it like regenerist - same ingredient. Here are all the ingredients...unfortunately some might clog up my acne-prone skin:
ingredients:
Propylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Ascorbic Acid, Glycerin, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Dimethicone Crospolymer, Lauroyl Lysine, Acrylates Copolymer, Adenosine.
I ordered a bottle of Diana Yvonne Triple-C serum just in case as a backup in case this breaks me out. I figure I can't go wrong with a Hyaluronic Acid base and preservatives. |
