I used to think powder always made you look older...well... a more sophisticated, perfectly made up grand lady. If I can skip powder I won't miss it a bit. But I love what BE Clear Radiance does to my skin. It glows like a happy baby's skin. I am very pale so it gives me a little hint of natural healthy pink luminosity. But on my cousin darker's complexion, it makes her skin more glorious with a dewy tan. I love this one from BE. Actually it's a gift from my mom which was one of her 45th birthday gifts. She loves it so much and can't wait to let me have it. I wish I can find a few sexy tops in this exact pink colour for Spring. I'm ready for a brand new season. I love Spring.

Wow Leila, I've always wanted to try Mineral make-up but am in two minds about it as I'm a dewy liquid foundations girl myself. I bought a loose powder to set make-up for those big nights out when you don't want to battle with sweat and shine. I don't use it that often as I still much prefer 'dewy' to matte (matte tends to flatten out my features too much).

When I read your review I was intrigued as luminosity is what I'm after and I straight away went to check out the product. This looks like it could take the place of my mattifying loose powder, and give me a natural glowy flush at the same time. This pink looks like it will suit my skin tone too... one thing I've learnt about colour is that how it appears in the palette isn't always how it will look on your skin, my beigey skin usually 'neutralises' strong pinks and it looks fresh and natural on me. I didn't think I would be able to wear pinks but I'm hooked now after I was shown how to wear it. I'm glad you mentioned how the Radiance looked on your cousin with darker skin, as I think she would be closer to my colour at the moment.

Are BE minerals powders really very fine?
Thanks for another great review. I have to get to work now as I've been called in for some O/T, seven people called in sick this morning-- not good for a Monday!!:P:P

Summertimegirl, I have BE Mineral Veil and this Clear Radiance, both of them are super super fine.

I love them both, but I think my skin look fresher, brighter with Radiance. I'm MAC NC15, so if I just use it on my cheeks it gives me very subtle colour of a very healthy and ...uhm...happy girl who just ...But my cousin, who is MAC NC25, uses it all over her face and it's just gorgeous.

When look very close , you see the finest ( not too obvious, too vulgar like the others) glimmering sparkles that enhance your complexion so beautifully. The colour lasts long and doesn't shift. And the best thing is I don't feel it at all on my skin. I can use it with or without foundation.

Here is my recipe for a lovely natural looking face on a special day when you just want to see your sweetheart only: Valmont Renewing Pack+ BE Clear Radiance+ One thin coat only of Mascara+Your ( Your and His) Favorite Cinnamon Flavored Lip Gloss. Now, you are all set to be happy and to make your special one very very happy.

And please don't ask me why it has to be Cinnamon Flavored Lip Gloss. You have to find it out yourself or you might already know. Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

Thoughtcrime, to the first question...gotcha... I knew some curious soul like you will be caught...Hee! hee! hee!

Sorry, Thoughtcrime and please don't be mad...I honestly have no idea...

I just heard that there are two kinds of...food aroma... that can make guys feel...you know what...they are: cinnamon bun and pumpkin pie...so I just made it up...the lip gloss...but who know there may be something like that exist somewhere? Again, please don't be mad! SadSadSad

To the second question, yes, for winter, I think I prefer Clear Radiance, but when summer comes I still need Mineral Veil to get rid of my shiny nose, I mean "the shine on my nose".

Hope you get over your itchy skin. And if you have time, could you share with me your special treatment for it. Thanks!

This sounds nice, I feel a lemming coming on. I'm an NC15 as well so I'm always looking for things that will make me look less sickly pale Smile Just out of curiosity, do you know if this is similar in function/colour to BeneFit Dandelion? Well, assuming that you've seen/used the Dandelion....

Leila, LOL
you did get me! The cinnamon lip gloss sounded yummy though. Maybe you're on to something--"Leila's cinnamon lip gloss" :P

My skin is still a mess! I hope it's just an allergic reaction, or the harsh weather and not eczema! Going to the Dr. next week Sad

Dear Thoughtcrime, I'm glad you didn't get mad with me for teasing you Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy. You're right. We should have put our great thoughts and ideas to work and in making our dream products become real things.

Uhm...how about Cinnamon Chocolate Yum Yum Lips. I still have tons of Christmas chocolate in my desk drawers. My favorite one is Cinnamon's Chocolate from a small shop in Edgemont Village in North Vancouver, BC.

Whenever you stop by this small town on your vacation to Canada, you have to try these chocolates. And the town, it's so beautiful just like one in a novel, will hold your adventure down for a few days. Can you believe it, there is absolutely no traffic light in the whole village. I love the place and one of the cutest guys among its population is my sweetie :P

Mabsy, I've never heard of BeneFit Dandelion. Is it good? Is it good? Is it as good as Prescriptives Magic Powder?

Let me get it right: are you trying to work your agelic dark force on my devilish lemmings. And what are they, lemmings? They sound kind of cute :P:P:P

Leila,

Hehe! You made me giggle when you tried to describe the Radiance-- you've convinced me that I have to get myself one of these little pots now! WinkVery Happy.....but wasn't it so bold of Francois Nars to call his own blush 'Orgasm' ..? it just makes you think of that gorgous flush you get and indeed it was a world-wide sell-out blush. I like to think that being in love gives you that gorgeous flush...Wink

These cinnamon chocolates from the small town of Egdemont Village in North Vancouver sound devine, now the shop will have to go into triple production to keep up with the demand that you've just generated Leila!! ....so you think cinnamon works well on guys, I will have to try this I think....Wink

The Benefit Dandelion is a 'ballerina-pink face powder (thought you might like the sounds of this Leila as you love pink too!) that you sweep over your cheeks as blush or over parts of your face for colour, it has more of a 'matt' finish though, so no glimmer as such. It's quite pretty though. Benefit have also brought out a new shade they've called 'Georgia' which is suppose to give a sun-kissed peaches and cream complexion, I haven't tried it yet but the Radiance sounds much better as a soft healthy glowing flush is what I really want.

Summertimegirl x

PS. if you think of any other little things that your honey loves on you besides the cinnamon lip-gloss, please let me know as it's always fun seeing the effect these irresistible things have on guys. Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

"Touch Me Then Try To Leave" cream smells divine! Very Happy It's not overpowering and immediately turns silky so you can apply right before bed.

But if you really want a bedroom scent...VANILLA! Scientists say the effect on men is...well....um....

(Let me put it this way: burn some vanilla candles and you might not need that radiance powder!)Very Happy

Tee hee hee Smile I managed to add yet another brand to Leila's list :P But it appears to have backfired because now I really want to try the Touch Me Then Try To Leave cream. Gotta love BeneFit for their product naming Smile

Just kidding though Leila, it wasn't my intention to introduce you to yet another product. I just wanted to know if there was a similarity because I'm using (and really liking) the Dandelion at the moment.

Summertimegirl - I think whether Dandelion has glimmer or not may depend on your skin tone and application. I'm very pale and find that it does have a bit of a glimmer to it. I also read somewhere on MUA that you can MAKE this matte by tapping the brush before you apply it. Apparently the heavier glimmery particles fall off and you're left with just powder. I just use it as is though. I'd love to try Georgia as well. I read that it was coming out but didn't realise that it already has. Must remember to check this out when I'm at Myer's in the city next Smile

Alohagirl - LOL. Good call! Smile Btw, my other half is a great fan of all my vanilla based fragrances. Supposedly men like vanilla on women and women like lavender based fragrances on men (Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male is an example of a lavender based cologne).

Mabsy.

Hee hee..! I think when we girls all put our heads together we come out with the perfect little recipe for *romance* ....HOW on earth can guys possibly resist the sexy Vanilla aromas wafting around them...? Cinnamon chocolate kisses from the softest lips? ... and gorgeous shimmery cheeks dusted by Dandelion or Radiance? Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

Also, have you girls tried Benetint, the liquid cheek stain that gives you a nice rosy flush when you rub some on the apples of your cheeks with your fingers? I so much liked the colour that I got the lip balm as well! :P

I have tried BeneTint before but found it really hard to apply properly. I didn't realise there was a lipbalm though..... Wink Might go check it out Very Happy

I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day (don't hit me! Smile). Just because it seems to have become a commercialised holiday. I want to celebrate my relationship with my other half spointaneously and not because Hallmark tells me to. Unless of ocurse you do both, then that's ok Smile My dislike of it could also have something to do with the fact that my birthday falls on the same day and I find it infinitely irritating that I have to book weeks in advance to get a table at a decent restaurant (I'm not THAT organised!) :P And even then I STILL can't have a quiet dinner because the restaurant is packed! I blame my parents :P Smile

Having said that, I do appreciate the appeal of the day Smile Really, I do!

Oh my God, Mabsy, and my parents, especially my mom always regret that they couldn't have their only child a Valentine Love Child just as our family doctor predicted. My mom was 6 days overdue.

How about changing February 14 to Mabsy's Day officially here on this forum. HEE! HEE! HEE!

Mabsy, I so agree with you that Valentine's Day is overrated, but it's worse here in Michigan because we have another holiday that Hallmark also invented called "Sweetest day" which is just like another Valentine's Day. Don't ask me when it is becaue I have no idea, I've boycotted it. It seems to be a Michigan or midwest thing because it doesn't exist in California or anywhere in the western or eastern states. Surprised

LOL, Oh guys that's so sweet. But let's just leave it at Valentine's Day or I'll be getting a few nasty emails from around the world when people chance upon this thread Smile I can assure you that being born on this day is rather over-rated. But seeing as I am a positivist and can always look on the bright side, I will use it to my advantage and have not one but TWO excuses for putting in an order with EDS next month Very Happy

Thoughtcrime - Say what?! "Sweetest Day" SurprisedSurprisedSurprised Don't tell me that they actually have special cards for that? I wonder if it was invented by the florist and chocolate industry! :P
