So, I went to the derm today. And he gave me some duac samples and prescription. Anybody ever used it?
Is it worth the money? How is it compare to retin a?

i dunno - it's practically the same formulation...my derm is awesome and very picky when it comes to perscriptions...she finds the benzaclin is fresher becuase it is mixed athte time you buy it, whereas Duac comes premixed and expires sooner.
I find that if i use Benzaclin a couple times on a trouble area, it stays clear for months - really..and it does not have any overdrying affect with the retin-a .1

to add:

I love retin-a....i am 35 and have some sun damage as well as uneven skkin tone and overall dullness - the retin-a is a miracle for this, not jsut acne. my derm calls it the gold standard of skincare and that her patients with the best skin all use it.

hte duac/benzaclin compliments the retin-a - i don't use it instead of....
hope that makes sense

hi rkai93.....
with duac you have to throw the the unused products after 2 months (yikes... and it costs so much money). do you have to do the same for benzaclin?
thanks
