Was wondering if anyone know about botox. I had this done 1st time ever 1 1/2 weeks ago. I can still "squint" and I still have lines when I do. Does this mean that the botox did not work? Does anyone know? Thanks in advance. |

Sometimes people need touch ups a couple of weeks later. I've been getting injected for about 5 years now, and occasionally I need to go back and get reinjected (they didn't inject the needle deep enough). They probably won't charge you anymore $$$$. |

The couple of times I tried it, I never had complete paralysis of the muscles between my brows.... |

Thanks guys. I am not sure if they would charge me more or not, because I paid only for the amount that I had (they charge $15 per unit). I will not spend any more money on this. I am going in on Fri for a Resty touch-up for my vertical lines, which I still see and will check with the nurse. |

I have been told it can take up to 2 weeks. My regular med spa/dermdoc says wait until that time and then come back if I need a touch up, he won't even see me before then. I've only had to do that once and it was that I went to a different place and they didn't put enough in the first time and a bit too low for my 11's (that's why I like to find a place and stick to it). I pay from 8-9.00 a unit (don't know where you are located) but 15.00 seems a bit high to me in comparison. Maybe because 9.00 seems high considering it is a temporary fix. Wonder what the national average is? |

Interesting Annie. Well, this Friday will be 2 weeks exactly, so will see what she says. I actually though 15 sounded cheap (!) because the Resty was $550 a syrynge (large one). So I got the botox for $180. I am in Orlando, maybe higher here? It would be interesting to find a national avg. |

It sounds to me then that you got about 12 units then for your area. Was it for the 11's between the eyebrows, or for crows feet around the eyes? Either one sounds like a low amount of units (if I am remembering my unit price and amount) which could be your problem. The resty can sometimes be about 400.00 a syringe when they run their specials. That's when I have it done for the nasolabial and mouth lines. |

I had it done for my 11's, and yes, it was 12 units. So, you think this was not enough possibly? She said she was giving me the "standard" of what worked for most people. |
