I have some millia under my eyes for about 2 years. As I remembered, I have used some very rich eye cream a long time ago, and I might use too much each time. Right now, I am careful about the texture of my eye products. I only use eye gel instead of cream. I have a question here. Is there any way to diminish those millia? And I also feel the eye gel is not rich enough to be used in winter (it's -50 outside tonight). However, I am also hesitate to use any rich cream. What can I do? |

I suggest using an exfolaiting eye product such as Skinceuticals Eye Gel. To hydrate and moisturize the eye area, I suggest gel-based creme products such as Phytomer Lift Contour for Eyes, or the new Decleor Hydra-Floral Eye Contour Gel-Cream. |

Thanks, Caspers Mum
I am one more question. I was looking into the online store. There are two eye gel one is SkinCeuticals Eye Renewal Gel and another is SkinCeuticals Eye Gel, which is the one you recommend to me?
To hydrate and moisturize the eye area, do I suppose to buy another product? So I have to put two lays of gel/cream under my eyes? Thanks for your answer. |

I recently developed milia as well and I think I got it from a rich under eye cream. I read that nothing except a laser could remove them once you get them. WRONG! I bought a tube of Yonka Phyto-Contour Eye Firming Cream to try to get rid of my morning bags and circles. About 2 weeks after I began putting it under my eyes every night and morning I noticed the milia had shrunk - a LOT. It's been about a week since my discovery and they are almost completely gone!! Try it!! |

I am also very prone to milia as well, I had them removed by the derm last year, but there are some that is still there, maybe it's the marks. I started using Phytomer 2 mths ago and it does make a difference to my milia area, they look flat now. But be very careful, do not use too much it can be abit drying for the eye lids.
g'luck!

Hello Niccollee and Iikkin ! Love your double-barrel names!!
Niccollee-- I'm glad that the Yonka Phyto-Contour cream for eyes and lips is helping reduce the milia in your eye area. Don't you just love finding that product that works like a miracle !
Iikkin, I love the Phytomer Contour Lift Eye Cream as well-- it's a terrific product I use at night and I will be getting it again this next order from EDS. I have never had milia but this still prompted me to do a bit of a search on the condition.
MILIA are the blocked-off skin pores that can occur in babies and adults. In newborn babies, they occur in the upper cheeks, nose and chin. This occurs when trace amounts of their mother's hormones stimulates sebaceous (oil) glands in the face to overproduce oil. This excess oil makes it difficult for babies to efficiently shed dead skin cells so forms the pin-head size, pearly white bumps. In babies, the milia will open up and will disappear by 1-2 months.... In adults, dry skin is said to attract whiteheads which are sebum trapped in blind ducts without an outlet and these occur mainly between eye-brows and on the orbicularis oculi (eye opening) muscle areas. Acute sunburn, injury to the skin, and use of too heavy skincare is said to often be the cause of milia on the face and shoulders... newly formed whiteheads can disappear with regular massage treatment but well established milia have to be surgically extracted..

Just thought I'd add that there is an eyecream in the MDF range that is supposed to be great for getting rid of existing millia. It's the one in the Vit-A-Plus range. It apparently can be a bit strong for everyday use if you are young but it seems to get great reviews. From what I read, (young) people tend to use it around 3 times a week and that seems to clear up the problem.
