Just wondered has anyone tried this
Also what are the shades like?
I am NC25 and am thinking Translucent Medium, is this a yellow or pink based powder? |

I just recently started using this. I've posted about it:

If the link doesn't work, the topic was "drugstore mineral makeup" on the skincare and makeup forum.
I've only been using it a few days, but I really like it. It doesn't have bismuth in it like BE, so you don't have to deal w/ all the stuff that goes with that (itching, redness, etc.) It's matte, so you don't really need powder over it.(which I love).
I had trouble finding a color match. I ended up mixing buff beige with a little translucent light, but it is a really perfect match. I would suggest buying a few colors (from places you can return, like walgreen's and cvs. In my town walgreen's only had 3 shades, but cvs had them all) Just play around w/ colors and mixing for a few days.
Also, don't judge it right off, you have to let it soak in for a few minutes before it looks right. At first it looks a little powdery.
I'm not familiar with the NC25 shading system thing (is that mac?) but translucent medium is pink based (and the translucents aren't actually translucent). I needed yellow based (buff beige and translucent light are both yellow based.) It's pretty easy to tell which are pink and which are yellow when you see them in person. Sorry this is so long, but I hope it helps! |

Thankyou, I was searching for that thread.
Hmmm I think the Translucent Medium would be no good if it is pink based.
Thanks so much, this has really helped |
