God knows I don't need yet another thing to put on my face...but I was browsing magazines, and there was a little blurb about how you should use an eyecream with SPF during the day. I use a sunscreen every day, but now that I think about it, I really don't get it much in my eye area. The article mentioned a product by Clarins (Sun Wrinkle Control SPF 30)...but I'm sure there are others out there.

Does anyone use a product like this? Or do you just use a sunscreen (or day lotion/cream with SPF) and put it on your eye area? I use the PSF Herbal Sunscreen SPF 30...and I'm wondering if I should just ask their customer service if it would be okay for my eye area (over the Phyto-Lift Gel which I will not give up using! Laughing )

Sorry for the rambling post!

Hi Mary,

Murad makes a Vit. C eye cream with SPF in it. I think Mabsy uses it and likes it.

Mary, I´ve been wondering about that as well. I use the same products as you do, so please let me know what CS at PSF says.

I use Murad Essential C Eye Cream SPF15 and like it a lot. It's rich enough for my dry undereye area but not greasy at all. Sometimes I found it's a little be too thick and hard to spread / pat aournd my eyes. As for what did it do or can I see anything different after using it - NO. I think it's for long term benefit.

As all you guessed, I bought it per Mabsy's review!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Hi Sharkbait!

I just sent an e-mail to PSF and I'll post with what they say about using the Herbal Sunscreen around the eyes. In the meantime, I'm off to check on the Murad eye cream!

Thanks to everyone - as always - for the feedback!

Wow...sure got a fast reply from PSF! Here's what they had to say about using the sunscreen near the eyes:

"It should be fine to use the Herbal Sunscreen Lotion around the eye area. I use it myself over top of the StimuColl-C. Just please avoid getting it INTO the eyes, as it was not developed for the eye area specifically. Our other eye products were developed specifically for the eye area & tested by an opthamologist, whereas the facial sunscreen was not."

Hope this helps!

Nivea's CoQ10 Eye Cream has an spf of 4 (titanium dioxide)if you aren't looking for high spf numbers. I like it as a nice simple eye cream for fine lines.

As for using sunscreen around the eyes, I use my laRochePosay Dermo-Pediatrics spray spf 40 (stable and broad spectrum, excellent UVA protection)around my eyes without any problems.

I got a sample of the Murad cream from Sephora but found it to be a little too thick for me, and I think it gave me milia. I use LRP Fluide Extreme on face and also use it sparingly on my eyelids/undereye without any problems.

I use/like the Murad Essential C SPF15. I know that Dermalogica also makes an SPF eye cream and I recall reading some good reviews of it but have not tried it myself. You should be able to use some sunblocks over your usual eye cream, but probably not all sunblocks are suitable.
