Hi all!
I'm so excited to join this forum. Last night I tried the Aspirin mask and was so impressed with the results, I can't wait to put it on again!
Anyway, my question is this. I have no idea of what kind of facial cleanser or facial cream to try now.
My skin is fair, sensitive with a bit of rosacea on my cheeks. I have rare breakouts, but those are mainly due to my own obsession with squeezing/picking my skin. I have a lot of blackheads.
Right now I use water only to wash my face. I find that anything else starts to clog up my face and cause breakouts. For face cream I use Cetaphil with SPF, but I'm not too happy with it as it's quite greasy.
Once in awhile I will use Kiehl's chamomile mask which seems to soothe any redness or irritation.
I am looking your opinions on a facial cleanser, or your thoughts on my just using water. I am also looking for a good facial moisturizer that contains SPF.
Thanks everyone! |

hi... welcome to the forum.
A lot of people in this forum like dr hauscha cleansing cream, OCM and psf green tea facial cleanser.
If you go to the DIY thread in this forum, you will find recipe for hoemmade DHCC and OCM. As for psf you can go to their websitewww.psfskincare.com and get their trial kit. That way you can try a bunch of different product.
The one product that I personally find very soothing is valmont renewing pack. I have eczema, and when my eczema is flaring up, I just use valmont renewing pack at night, and the next day, the flare ups calm down. It does not totally dissapear, but it does help calming it down.

Welcome to the forum!
I won't give any specific recommendations since I am not familiar with rosaeca but I have sensitive skin and have never had any irritation or problems with Jurlique Ultra Sensitive Face Wash, Shiseido Cleansing Oil and Bioderma Crealine H20 no rinse cleanser.
I wash my face with only water in the morning but I always use some type of cleanser at night. I think it is important to wash at least once a day with cleanser especially if you are using sunscreens or makeup. Personally I find that my skin is a lot less sensitive and breaks out less when I only wash it with cleanser once a day as opposed to twice a day. I think that it is possible that you have a lot of blackheads because you are not suficiently removing the oil from your skin by only using water.
Good Luck in finding the products that will work for you! |
