I have an oily t-zone with regular breakouts on my chin area. I usually only get about 1-2 pimples on my chin but I get them quite often. When I try to use BHA or AHA my acne gets worse. My skin seems to be sensitive and tends to get irritated with too many products. I'm currently 6 months pregnant and am looking for a good skincare line that would work for my skin. I'm also wondering how I go about ordering samples from EDS. Thanks.

Hi there Smile

I don't want to make any strong recommendations because I know that there are some products that you shouldn't use when you're pregnant, yet I don't know what they are. However, for the skin you described I would suggest a gentle exfoliant (e.g. Dermalogica Microfoliant or PTR Buffing Beads) and Decleor Essential Balm (an all-natural balm for all skin types that helps clear up congested skin) for use at night. I'm sure others will jump in with their suggestions.

If you need to order samples, I think you just call the spa directly. They will be able to give you professional advice on the products that best suit your skin type and will be able to advise which are safe to use during pregnancy.

Btw, how long did you use the AHA/BHA products for? It is possible that your skin will get a bit worse before it gets better.

Mabsy.

ps. According to this previous post, Decleor is safe to use during pregnancy: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=933

I tried using BHA for a couple of months. My skin continued to develop cystic acne so I switched to AHA and still had the same problem. I seem to do better without them. Thanks for your recommendations. I will give the spa a call and see about getting a few sample.
