Hello,

I live in Calgary and am 35. I have schitzophrenic skin
that insists on being quite sensitive AND acneic. When younger
I had done just about everything to stop my cystic congloberate acne...
antibiotics, retina and accutane. in my 20's my skin behaved nicely but over
the last year I have found that i am getting blackheads and cysts (although not as severe).
About a week ago i received my first order of PROACTIVE SOLUTION; which is now on it's way back to
Vancouver for a full refund as I have discovered that I am VERY allergic to benzoyl peroxide!
It sounds like all you gals seem to know your way around the products sold here, can anyone give me advice on
a product/regime that will help with breakouts and not inflame sensitive skin?
i have previously purchased YONKA 58 (claims it acts as a detoxer?), the product is okay.
Waiting anxiously!!!!

Hello,
I have very sensitive skin although I don't have a big problem with acne. I do, however get a huge painful cystic zit either on my chin or forehead once every few months that used to take months to go away and leaves a brown scar. I am also very allergic to benzoyl peroxide.

I don't know if this will help but my sister gave me this little bottle of a product called Near Magic. It's promoted as a healing oil. I was skeptical until we put it on my dog's paw when it was swollen and the next day the inflamed area came to a head and burst and the foxtail/thorn that was embedded came out. This happened twice and the vet basically told me that it would've cost me $600 if they had to remove it.

Since then I've used it on sebacious cysts (I'm a dancer and my leotards sometimes cause blocked sweat glands) with the same results. When I put it on twice a day on my cystic zits the discomfort and swelling goes down much faster. I still have a little brown dot but I use Skin Medica's TNS serum and it's fading pretty quickly.

I get the Near Magic from my sister or online at www.nearmagic.tv. It's a tiny little bottle for like $10, but you only use the smallest drop.

Hope this helps!

i just got your reply to my plea....thanks alot for the website for 'near magic'. i'm gonna check it out.
i ended up buying some yonka products, a ddf sulpher mask, dermatologica active moist and those near cult-like following peter thomas roth buffing beads. crap, i should have checked your reply before i spent tons o' cash!!!
it's strange how acne seems to be tailing me into my 30's; i wonder if i'll be lamenting this face plague to all my old cronies in the nursing home when i'm 80? mother of God, perish the thought!
i have really had it with the blackheads and cysts that flare up, as i spent 4000$cad 3 years ago on laser resurfasing, you can imagine that i am none to tolerant with this resurgence of breakouts and consequent scarring.
anyhoo, thank you too much for the magic oil tip!!
ciao:D

Just an FYI, I've gone to this over-priced "facialist to the stars" who told me that the cystic zits are caused by too much dairy intake. I have noticed that when I've been on a cheese binge that I am more prone to the huge painful cystic zit on my forehead or chin. I have since switched to soy milk in my coffee and have haven't had as many problems.

Hope this helps!

Hi ladies Wink

Skinsplurge,
I've been thinking about purchasing this near magic healing oil after you mentioned it a couple months back. I went to the site, saw the testimonial horse pictures, and if those are authentic, that's pretty miraculous stuff! Do you use it often?

Cyberianhussy, did you ever end up trying it, if so what did you think?
