I've tried the 8% and 12.5% TCA solutions at home: burning and stinging, some mild peeling a couple days later.
I think I need to step up the regimin.
Do you think it would be more effective to do two layers of 8% or step up to one layer at 15 or 18%?
Also, I've read online that some derms do a pre-peel treatment with Retin A. Does anyone know why they do this?
Thanks, Barefootgirl |

Hi Barefootgirl,
Actually, doubling up on the 8% would not make any difference. No matter how much of the product you apply, it's still just 8%. You would need to go to a higher solution for more dramatic results.
I'm not sure about the Retin A though, as I have not experienced this with my peels at the clinic, but maybe someone else has. |
