Hi All,
I'm sorry if this is redundant... I've just ordered Dr H CC & Clarifying toner, but I'm a little hesitant about starting the Dr H line given the "purging"... Does anyone know whether Tretinoin & Dr H are compatible, or will one negate the other (natural, holistic skincare vs. keratolytics/ prescription...)
Also, how about retin-A with Oil cleansing , cream cleansing (Eve Lom)... does anyone have any wisdom to pass along?
Thanks!

I've used both the OCM and Eve Lom's cleansing cream while on retin-a. Both left my face clean and moisturised but I prefer the Eve Lom. Retin makes my skin dry and flaky but the cleanser helps with that and using the muslin cloth exfoliates. I still need to follow up with a good moisturiser.

I use a prescription med similar to REtin-A. You may have heard of it- Tazorac.

Anyway, I use the homemade DHCC with no problems. The CC actually helps counteract the drying and irritation effect from the Taz.

HTH.

I only use the Eve Lom in the pm. It's great at taking off makeup and I don't need a separate eye makeup remover. In the mornings I use a gentle cleanser or just water. As for the OCM, I just didn't like the heavy feel from the castor oil and could never get the ratio of castor oil-olive/jojoba oil right.

At the moment I'm giving my tube of DHCC another try. I always seem to get pimples from it but I'm trying to stick it out and if it's normal purging, the retin should help.

I too get pimples from DHCC, and I can't tell anymore whether it's the purging or the OCM... so you really never got breakouts from eve lom? I think i'll be trying out your same cleansing routine, and leave OCM out... as for a morning cleanser, i've been considering an AHA cleanser, at least temporarily, until those whiteheads/breakouts that I suspect were caused by OCM (and DHCC) clear up (hopefully Pray )
