I'm trying to place my next EDS order but I can't decide on which cleanser to order. I have oily, acne-prone skin. Should I get the JB Cleaning Gel or the PSF Papaya Cleansing Gel? |

I would vote for the Green Apple cleanser. It's the one I've been using, and it really helps not only with the shinies, but also to keep my skin clear, AND I'm addicted to the smell.^-^ |

Does it actually smell like an apple? |

Yes--- it smells just like the Green Apple peel. |

I found the PSF cleanser to be very gentle even though it had SLS!! (It also has a yummy smell to it)
Hope the JB cleanser has a better foaming agent. |

I had a little sample of the PSF papaya cleanser and it was very nice, soothing even though it's supposed to be for oilier skin and had just a faint fresh scent. I haven't used the Juice one to compare though... |

Hi,
This is my first post here, although I've been reading this forum for well over a year.
I have the PSF Papaya Cleanser. It contains Ammonium Laureth Sulfate as opposed to SLS. I don't know if this makes much difference, but I figured this was as good a time as any to start building up to receiving a nice discount at EDS. |

I have been using the PSF Papaya cleanser and find that it works very well for my oily skin (and I do like the smell, too!). However, the more I hear about the various Juice products (particularly the green apple), I can see wanting to try their cleanser sometime in the future!

Okay...at least it smells okay. I find that the peel smells like apple sauce. |

I do have very oily skin. Thinking of getting PSF cleanser.
If you live near a Sephora, go and get a sample of the Juice Beauty products (especially the peel and the blemish serum). |

Hm...not sure what to get anymore. You gals are posting very good arguments. Maybe I'll just get them both. |

I believe in that also. Whenever my boyfriend says that I don't need something, I respond with "I'll just create a need for it". |

sorry Tiger Tim.. it is actually Ammonium LS.. but it is still a sulfate and I was a little disappointed in finding this out AFTER i ordered two full size bottles.
Mind you.. it is somehow still a lovely gentle cleanser for my oily skin.
And Yen.. don't hold back on getting too many cleansers!! I have found many gels and creams that I love to use, as long as your skin likes it then go for it and enjoy your face care routine. |

If anyone´s interested, I have an unused, full size PSF papaya cleanser that I´m not going to use. It arrived yesterday with my EDS order, but I have fallen in love with OCM since ordering. |

Hmm - I'm torn about this - I liked my sample of PSF Papaya cleanser BUT Ammonium Laureth Sulfate (ALES as opposed to Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate ALS) according to a lot of organic websites I have looked at is the most harsh of the sulfate family (being more stripping than SLES).
It is the detergent found in things lIke Pantene and similar as it is good at removing all those silicones. That's why you find it in facial cleansers for oilier skins I guess?
Personally this is the ONLY product I wouldn't buy from PSF for this reason.
(I love the PSF C serum - just wish it didn't have parabens in it although Darren assured me that the amount is minimal and necessary in Vitamin C serum. Unless anyone can tell me of a Vit C serum that doesn't have parabens?).
Although I like to use organic/synthetic free products where ever possible I have found sometimes you have to compromise with getting the results from an active and that active having to be combined with preservatives etc.

Lucia, I am pretty sure my Cellex-C had no parabens and I just double checked the Super SErum box and there are no parabens listed at at all. The only "baddie" is the 9th (out of 10) ingredient - propolyene glycol. But being right at the end I figure it would be a very small amount. |

Glad to hear that ...I just ordered another cleanser, and I don't "need" it... so have been feeling slightly guilty |

and you are a temptress! After ordering PSF Green Tea Cleanser I wished I had got the Papaya instead - finnished my sample and think that it is VERY good at helping to clear up would be spots.... But am anyways eagerly awaiting my box from EDS:)
I fell in love with OCM too, but have found that if I use it all the time it has a reverse effect, so it's become a sometimes method for me... |

Lucia, I feel exactly the same as you!! I seem to have high-ish standards to products, especially on ingredients. But I have added bits and pieces to my skincare which don't have the best ingredients.
I was a little disappointed about the PSF C containing parabens, else it would have been my HG serum and so cheap too..
I will be using the Skinceuticals C serum.. the new formulations don't have parabens.. but do has phenoxyethanol.. which is a very common ingredient in many products(its even in Juice) but something Caudalie claims to not use (so must be a no-no ingredient)..
But anyhow I guess its all about tossing up the benefits against the bad things.. and there is probably nothing PERFECT out there. |

Has anyone tried both the PSF Pumpkin Peel and the JB Green Apple Peel? How were the results compared?
TIA! |

I tried a sample of the PSF Pumpkin Peel and own the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. The PSF felt like it was stronger to me. In fact, I'm now convinced I have sensitive skin |

Thanks ProductMan!
What results did you see from each and which one do you like better? |
