Hey all,
Was wondering if anyone's used Yonka Juvenil. I have bad cystic acne on the sides of my face, I'm not really sure if they *ArE* cystic acne, but they lurk deep inside with a red, hard spot on the surface and are very, very, very persistent. They simply won't vanish and have been there for at least 3 months. It's in the area on my face in which I *NEVER* used to breakout on. Do you think Yonka Juvenil will help? If you have seen the effects, how long did it take, and how often did you use it? please help! |

I recently just bought Juvenil and I've used it for a few days. I had one cyst near my chin and it's been 2 days and now it's almost completely flat, pain and redness is gone (I use it alone on the cyst first then I apply it all over my face mixed w/creme 15) |

Heavenleigh, I had recently purchased Yonka Juvenil and it is fantastic. It is powerful and very effective. I had a couple of persistant acne spots near my mouth. I had read on the ESD forum that Juvenil is great for purging the bacteria and gunk below the surface of the skin. So, I purchased this. Instead of putting it just on the couple of spots, I put it all over my face. What happened next -- I looked like a teenager with acne. It caused the dirt and bacteria that was dormant and lurking below the skin to come to the surface. Before I used this, I only had about 3 acne spots by my mouth. After using this, I had about 10 spots on my forehead and about 5 on each cheek and a number of them around my chin. My brothers thought that I had poison ivy. It took about 2 full weeks for my face to clear (one week of looking like a teenager). Now, my skin is very clean and very luminous. Five stars for Juvenil!!! |

It did nothing for me! For me, pure Lavender oil is more effective. |

I have used almost 2/3 of the small bottle, and it does nothing significant to help with blocked pores and small pimples. I generally use this as an all over treatment after the Zenbiotic routine, but quite honest I see better results with the Best Bath Store acne serum which is cheaper and more natural. |

Do you apply pure Lavender oil direct to your face? |

I've been using it for about a week and a half now, and I believe it's helping. I've definitely experienced a bit of the purging as I consistently have the most trouble with my chin area so I've applied it liberally to cover its entire surface. However, I have noticed the the time it decreases healing time (not necessarily disappering time as I tend to pop my pimples). I use it with Creme PG. It does make your face a bit dry though. |

I have used this on my combo, maturing skin for years. I am in love with the Yonka aroma & fear that I always will be....my esthetician uses Yonka & Dr Renaud (I don't like the Dr Renaud at all). Her facials are heavenly & her treatment room is my comfort "scent". I've also purchased many Yonka products over the 20 plus years I have been going to my beloved "Susie" and like them all, but in my heart is the lure of the newest, best & this is the one that'll do it for sure - so I continue to search.
The Juvenil is awesome. Zits not necessary. |

You can, yes. Lavender oil and Tea Tree oil are the only EOs that are safe to apply to the skin without diluting in a carrier oil first.
I adore Lavender oil as an all-purpose first-aid treatment, and it works great to help heal breakouts although it can be a bit drying so be sure to followup with a nice moisturizer afterwards.... |

Yes, I do. I am a big fan of pure Lavender oil, it is a must-have in my cabinet. I use Lavender to treat pimples and burns. It is effective and absolutely pure and natural. |

I recently purchased Yonka Juvenil from a salon nearby, because I was too impatient to wait for it to come via mail. I have a couple of questions:
First - Is the bottle supposed to have a "top" on it? The bottle I have has a pump mechanism, but no top to cover it.
Second - How do you get past the smell? I'm familiar with the EO aromas one usually smells in spas (& healthfood & natural skincare stores) but this goes beyond that. It makes my nose wrinkle every time I put it on & my hubby complained about the smell the other night (he gripes about Tea Tree Oil too, but this time he made me get up & wipe it off!).
Did I maybe get a "bad" bottle of it?

I can't comment on the lid, because my local "beauty store" simply gave me what remained in their sample container (which was actually still 1/3 full) because they ran out of little jars to decant some in for me, which means that any lid my container may have had was long since gone.
But the smell -- no, you didn't get a bad bottle! It's quite, how shall I say, "distinctive," is it not? I can't remember the name of the ingredient that makes it stink like that, it's this coal-tar extract stuff that is a drawing agent ("itchamol" or something like that -- I tried for ages to try and find the ingredient so I could create a DIY version of Juvenil but finally gave up after I was able to create a lovely facsmile of the Yonka Emulsion Pure which -- to me -- worked in a similar manner but didn't stink as bad! I realize that Yonka EP is considered more of a spot treatment, but I personally think it could be used in lieu of Juvenil to achieve the same results.... |

Just an update on my little sister who was using the yonka juvenil.
after her juvenil bottle ran out, i decided to purchase for her the juice beauty blemish clearing serum. the JB was a lot cheaper for the size, you get so much more, and i thought we'd give it a whirl. as it turns out, her skin is responding very well to the JB as it did with the yonka. she has cystic acne on her chin as well and the JB really clears those.
for those who care looking for a cheaper alternative to the yonka ought to look into JB's. HTH |

"Distinctive" - well that's certainly a nice way of putting it, carekate!
But now that you mention the coal tar - I realize it vaguely reminds me of some "acne" remedy from my adolescence. I think it was a Cuticura soap or topical cream - I couldn't wear it because of the smell!
I was trying to find the Pure Emulsion (I'm just using the Juvenil as a spot treatment) & thought about making my own per your instructions, but I didn't want to be hunting down those essential oils. Now, if that's one of the things I can order from you...
